She was a wildflower once—
growing crooked in the shadow
of taller things,
bending toward any flicker
that felt like sun.

They called her delicate,
so she learned to wilt with grace,
to fold her voice like petals at dusk,
afraid of storms
and the weight of her own bloom.

But time,
like a patient forest,
whispered her name through wind and root,
until one morning,
she woke with moss on her spine
and fire in her chest.

She no longer asked the sky for kindness.
She became the sky—
vast and untamed,
cradling clouds that once wept over her.

Love did not arrive
on a white horse,
but in the quiet way
she held her own hand
beneath the moonlight,
saying: you’re not broken—
just growing.

Now, she walks barefoot
through the kingdom of herself,
leaving behind glass slippers
and every gate
she was told to stay behind.

She is no longer waiting to be chosen.
She is the story.
The storm and the seed.
The crown and the roots.
The girl who became a woman—
not by being saved,
but by remembering
she was the magic all along.

10 ( plus bonus) things I learnt last week as an international student living alone in Toronto, Canada.

Days are filled with different chaotic chapters but I am truly grateful because it teaches me something new about me everyday.
