CM Bihar launches SAUV Communications Private Limited’s Website on soft power branding of Bihar at PATNA.
A website titled Branding Bihar (www.brandingbihar.com) was launched yesterday (7/06/2018) by the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, at his Patna camp office forenoon amidst a select gathering of branding professionals and senior most officials of Bihar Government, including Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner and Principal Secretary to CM.
The website intends to achieve the soft power branding of Bihar (its art, culture, heritage, music, dance, literature, food etc), as different from the hard power branding, that the State normally indulges in, through campaigns involving areas such as sadak, bijli, pani, shiksha, swasthya etc.
Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, the CM lauded Sauv's effort and mentored this: “While this Website vividly captures important tourist sites and soft power elements in branding Bihar, it may add value if the details about the future projects of Bihar Govt. are also accounted for, such as the Telhara excavations, Eco-Tourism in Valmiki Nagar, Ghora Katora, Zoo Safari among others
Briefing the media on the occasion, the Managing Director of SAUV Communications Private Limited, Uday Sahay shared, “SAUV Communications, in association with Give Back to India, have been working for over a year now to create a world-class destination branding website on Bihar to reach out to the non-resident Biharis and other tourists. This group of branding professionals consists of some of the industry’s best names in photography, designing, content writing, blogging, marketing, and other subject experts decided to synergize thus. Most of these names are non-resident Biharis, dedicated to the idea of giving back to their homeland”
Sahay further quipped, “Though SAUV Communications has made the initial investment in the project, and we wish to make it sustainable through introducing an online store of unique Bihari products such as the Bhagalpuri Silk, art replicas, the Lehthi Bangles, among others. Among eatables, we have held talks with BARC officials in order to extend the shelf life of food products unique to Bihar such as Makhana, Tilkut, Anarsa, Litti-Chokha, Khoye-ka-lai, Katarni Chura, Lichi, and Mangoes, among others, to make them available online globally. Besides, we also wish to partner with the Bihar Government in its branding effort once the platform matures.”
Uday Sahay also thanked his team members, Sharanya Sahay (Editor, Branding Bihar), Surendra Kumar (techno partner), Sharanya Sahay, Prithviraj Bourgohain, Saurabh Anuraj, Ritwik Abhilash, Kundan Sinha, Rajesh Kumar, Shivangi Sinha, and mentors Kumar Ranjan, Naleen Kumar, Prithviraj Burhagohain
