🩺 2 Lakh New Doctors Every Year… But Villages Still Wait for a Doctor to Arrive.

Every year, India produces nearly 2 lakh new doctors — including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other practitioners.

We now have 706 medical colleges, over 1 lakh MBBS seats, and a growing number of postgraduate specializations.
From AIIMS to AYUSH — the numbers look great on paper.

But when you travel just 80–100 km outside any city, reality hits differently.

In many PHCs and rural hospitals, there is either no doctor, or no medicine. Sometimes both.

Patients still carry X-ray films 30 km just to find a radiologist.
A woman in labor may still travel on a tractor.
People still die not due to cancer, but due to late diagnosis of fever.

So we must ask:

🔴 Is the solution just “more medical colleges”?
🔴 Are we producing healers or just degree-holders?
🔴 Why is a fresh graduate forced to open a clinic in cities where 10 others exist… while thousands of villages cry in silence?

Medicine was never supposed to be just a career.
It’s a seva. A samarpan. A commitment to those who need us the most.

We need a real vision — not just more colleges and more NEET seats.

We need infrastructure.
We need dignity for rural doctors.
We need career paths for those who choose Bharat over metro life.

Otherwise, we’re building a castle on a broken foundation.

Let’s wake up.
