Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) has released its financial results for the quarter ended (QE) June 30, 2026. As per the company, its revenue from operations increased to Rs 116.89 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of financial year 2026-27 (FY27) from Rs 110.23 billion in Q1 FY26, registering a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 6 per cent. Meanwhile, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased to Rs 50.34 billion from Rs 46.12 billion in Q1 FY26. The EBITDA margin improved to 43.1 per cent from 41.8 per cent a year earlier.

Microsoft India has inaugurated its largest data centre in India in Hyderabad, strengthening its cloud infrastructure as it accelerates its artificial intelligence (AI) strategy in the country. The new India South Central region becomes Microsoft's fourth cloud region in India, joining its existing facilities in Pune, Chennai and Mumbai.

The Department of Telecommunications ( DOT ) has approached the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) to review the country's net neutrality framework in light of evolving technologies and changing market dynamics, according to media reports. In its reference to the regulator, the DoT has asked TRAI to revisit the framework while taking into account emerging technologies and network management practices, including network slicing and differentiated service offerings.
