A young, ambitious tech team from Changzhou, China, has engineered a groundbreaking device known as the "Mosquito-Killing Laser Cannon" (commercially developed as the Photon Matrix by Photon Matrix Lab). This portable, high-tech gadget is a mini, household version of a military-grade air defense system, designed specifically to hunt down and eliminate mosquitoes mid-flight.
The defining feature of this innovation is its 100% autonomous operation. It runs completely unmanned, protecting your space without requiring any human assistance or manual intervention. At the heart of this compact defense weapon is an advanced millimeter-wave radar combined with high-precision LiDAR technology. The LiDAR module continuously sweeps a horizontal plane, measuring distance changes to sense the exact shape, body size, and flying patterns of nearby insects.
The moment a mosquito enters its scanning radius, the built-in radar instantly locates and locks onto the target in real time. The entire tracking process takes an astonishing three milliseconds. Once the AI-powered vision system confirms the target, an ultra-fast galvanometer pivots a microscopic mirror to redirect a high-energy pulsed laser. Instead of burning the entire insect, the laser is aimed with sniper-like precision directly at the mosquito's wings. This instantly disables its ability to fly, causing it to fall safely to the ground.
