Satyen Momaya has officially taken over as CEO of PVH Arvind Fashion Pvt. Ltd., the joint venture managing the India operations of global fashion brands Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein.
His appointment follows an impactful eight-year tenure at celio India and comes just ahead of Amisha Jain’s elevation to Managing Director & CEO of Arvind Fashions Limited Ltd., effective 13 August 2025—marking a significant leadership alignment across the group.
PVH Corp. Arvind was formed on 24 March 2014 as a strategic partnership between Arvind Fashions Ltd. and PVH Corp., bringing together brand licensing, sourcing, and retail operations for Tommy Hilfiger—launched in India in 2004—and Calvin Klein, introduced in 2007. Arvind holds the majority stake in the JV, while PVH retains global brand control.

In a powerful preview of what’s to come, India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), in collaboration with Garment Technology Expo (GTE), held a curtain raiser a brand show “Laces & Trim Show” that will be held concurrently with GTE. The curtain raiser event that was held at the India Habitat Center brought together various industry stalwarts and stakeholders. The newly launched show will be a focused platform dedicated entirely to fashion accessories, trims, and embellishments an integral part of manufacturing garments.
The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as industry leaders and key stakeholders gathered to support this visionary initiative. The curtain raiser was graced by eminent personalities including HKL Magu, Former Chairman, AEPC; Lalit Thukral, President, Noida Apparel Export Cluster; Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Ltd.; Inderjit S Sahni, Chairman, GTE; Ricky Sahni, MD, GTE; Ambrish Chopra, Director, GTE, R.K. Malhotra, Ex Chairman EPCH, Mukesh Gupta, Director, IEML, RK Verma, ED, EPCH and several other senior professionals from industry who brought invaluable insights and encouragement to the event.

The Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), in collaboration with the Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC), successfully organised a Buyer-Seller Meet in Srinagar, showcasing the rich legacy and export potential of woollen and Pashmina products from the region.

The event brought together a wide network of buyers and sellers, offering a unique platform to promote Jammu & Kashmir’s traditional craftsmanship on a global scale.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) on 30th June and said that the Buyer-Seller Meet in Kashmir is not aimed at attracting tourists but at forging meaningful trade relationships that support local artisans and strengthen the region’s handicrafts economy.

The event was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) in collaboration with the Wool and Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC), with support under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME).

Omar Abdullah said the event’s core objective is to facilitate large-scale orders and lasting business ties for artisans. “If even one artisan secures a major order, this event can be called a success,” he stated.

Over 100 Artisans to Showcase Pashmina & Woollen Products at Srinagar Buyer-Seller Meet
In a major push to amplify the global presence of Jammu & Kashmir’s traditional woollen and Pashmina crafts, the Wool & Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC) has partnered with the Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) to organise a Buyer-Seller Meet (BSM) on 30th June 2025 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar.
The event will bring together 100+ artisans, manufacturers, and exporters from across the region, showcasing an exquisite range of Pashmina shawls, woollen garments, stoles, scarves, carpets, home textiles, and fashion accessories. The BSM is designed as a strategic platform to connect these skilled producers directly with both domestic and international buyers, including sourcing agencies, fashion houses, retail brands, and exporters.
The initiative aims to strengthen trade linkages and enhance market access for the local craftspeople of Jammu & Kashmir, while spotlighting the region’s centuries-old textile traditions on a global stage. It reinforces a vision of building a bridge between ‘Skilled Hands’ and Global Markets, contributing to sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment for artisans and weavers in the valley.
