In order to boost tourism in the state, U.P. Tourism department has taken up a national level outdoor campaign. Along with other traditional media, Uttar Pradesh Tourism has also made blue line of the Delhi Metro whose advertising righrs are owned by Eg communications, a major tool for publicity through a wrap which covers the entire train from outside, showcasing various circuits especially the Heritage Arc (which comprises of The Agra region, The Awadh Region & The Varanasi region), The Buddhist Circuit, The Bundelkhand Circuit and The Eco Tourism Circuit. The images promote the various Heritage Sites beckoning
viewers to explore what U.P. has to offer.
The blue line of the metro connects U.P. with Delhi, running from Vaishali/ Noida city centre to Dwarka covers 44 main and 8 link stations.
Uttar Pradesh is endowed with a mixture of tradition & modernity. It has a rich history, magnificent monuments and classical folk music & colourful dances. The State has an amazing heritage that enthralls visitors with grand experiences. The State has the distinction of housing world heritage sites such as The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri (Agra). Besides these heritage sites, places like Mathura-Vrindavan, Varanasi-Sarnath, Lucknow-Devasharif-Naimisharanya -Shravasti, Kushinagar, Sankisa, Kaushambi, Bundelkhand-Jhansi-Mahoba-Deogarh, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya-Faizabad, Hastinapur-Sardhana etc. are the other tourist destinations which are the glory of U.P.
The above publicity campaign was inaugurated by Hon’ble Tourism Minister, Shri Om Prakash at Vaishali, Ghaziabad Metro Station in presence of Secretary/Director General Tourism, Uttar Pradesh & Tourism Officials.
