प्रसिद्ध गोल्फ पत्रकार और खेल लेखक, टीवी धारावाहिकों के निर्माता निर्देशक और वित्तीय सलाहकार श्री रमेश कोहली नहीं रहे। इसी सप्ताह 6 मई को उनका निधन होगया। वह लगभग 84 साल के थे और कुछ समय से बीमारी से जूझ रहे थे।
उनके निधन से कला और गोल्फ जगत में शोक की लहर है। इंडियन ओपन और दिल्ली गोल्फ क्लब के इतिहास और कई गहन शोधों के साथ, उन्होंने दुनिया भर के गोल्फ प्रेमियों के लिए एक महान विरासत छोड़ी है।
उन्होंने चार दशकों से अधिक समय तक खेल पर लिखा है, वे इंडियन एक्सप्रेस, हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स, द टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया, स्पोर्टस्टार, मिड-डे, नेटवर्क, रॉयटर्स, इंडिया टुडे, गोल्फ डाइजेस्ट, जैसे प्रतिष्ठित प्रकाशनों के लिए मानव हित की कहानियाँ, गपशप कॉलम, टेलीविजन आलोचनाएँ भी लिखते रहे। वह 1993 से दिल्ली गोल्फ क्लब के न्यूज़लेटर, द ग्रीन सीन के संपादक रहे हैं। गोल्फ और लेखन के अलावा, उनका दूसरा बड़ा जुनून चित्रकला रही है।
कोहली साहब एक शानदार मेज़बान और दोस्तों की महफिल सज़ाने में माहिर थे। उनका यूँ चले जाना अनेकों दोस्तों और उनके प्रशंसकों के लिए के लिए चैंका देने वाला मायूसीभरा पल है।
