सविता मेडिकल कॉलेज में एक दर्दनाक घटना सामने आई है। 39 वर्षीय कार्डियक सर्जन डॉ. गार्डलिन रॉय की ड्यूटी के दौरान अचानक हार्ट अटैक से मौत हो गई।

डॉ. गार्डलिन को बचाने के लिए सीपीआर (CPR), एंजियोप्लास्टी, स्टेंटिंग, इंट्रा-एओर्टिक बैलून पंप और यहां तक कि ईसीएमओ (ECMO) तक का सहारा लिया गया, लेकिन डॉक्टरों की तमाम कोशिशों के बावजूद उनकी जान नहीं बचाई जा सकी।

हैदराबाद के न्यूरोलॉजिस्ट डॉ. सुधीर कुमार ने बताया कि डॉ. रॉय को दिल का दौरा पड़ने के तुरंत बाद प्राथमिक उपचार दिया गया। हालांकि, उनकी लेफ्ट मेन आर्टरी 100% ब्लॉक हो चुकी थी, जिसके चलते उन्होंने कुछ ही देर में दम तोड़ दिया।
