There are poetry books you read for beautiful lines, and then there are books that make you remember things. Folded, Unfolded belongs somewhere in the second category for me.

The poems move through memories, relationships, uncertainty, longing, and those strange little moments that stay with us long after they are over.

I really liked that the collection doesn’t try to give every emotion a perfect ending. Some feelings are left open and unresolved, just like they are in real life.

The poems title themselves caught my attention; The Moon Understands Me, Never Arrived, Yet Somehow Stayed, Fading Threads, Roses and Cactus. They give you a glimpse of what’s coming, but the poems still manage to surprise you.
Read slowly, one poem at a time, when you’re in the mood to sit with your own thoughts.

Okay so this isn't your usual book, and honestly that's what got me. Instead of just pages, I get 48 strategies turned into cards, each one showing you how to read people and situations better.

And it just makes sense, right? In the moment, when things are actually happening, nobody has time to sit and think through a whole chapter. You just need to recognise what's going on and react.

The whole box feels premium too, there's a companion book and a deck you can keep pulling out again and again.
It's not something you read once and forget, it's something you keep coming back to till it just becomes second nature.

Just wrapped up The Chanakya Playbook by Abhiraj Gupta and honestly, I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did.

We're so used to business books promising a hack, a shortcut, a "10 rules to get rich by 30" formula. This one does the opposite. It goes back over 2000 years to Chanakya's Arthashastra and basically asks; what if the smartest business advice was written way before "business" even existed?

One framework that stuck with me the most is what he calls the Bee-Honey principle: take the profit, but don't destroy the source that's giving it to you. So simple, yet it's the exact mistake so many businesses (and honestly, people) make when they're chasing short-term wins.

There's also a tortoise analogy about knowing when to pull back and when to push forward, which might be one of the more underrated leadership skills nobody talks about enough.

Not gonna lie, it's not a light read. You can't skim this on a lunch break, it rewards you when you actually sit with a chapter and let it land. But if you're building something, a business, a team, or just better discipline in your own life, this gives you a completely different lens than the usual "hustle harder" content we're fed everywhere.
