CALLING ALL STORYTELLERS!
Children's World is searching for exciting stories for our April Special issue dedicated to kids! All writers ABOVE 18 YEARS OF AGE are invited to weave magic through their words for children on either ONE of the following two themes- WAIT or WEIGHT! Explore one of these two themes in humorous/ thoughtful/ dark/ fantastical/ fun/ mysterious ways to churn out an original, interesting, compelling and thought-provoking tale for our young readers!
Shortlisted stories will be published in our 59th ANNUAL NUMBER (APRIL 2026 Issue).

Children's World wishes one and all a very HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!!! The joy, innocence and boundless creativity of our young readers is what drives this magazine. Let this day be a celebration for the children of the world and the child that lives on in all of us, regardless of our ages.
Today, we are colouring outside the lines and encourage you to do the same. Check out these two poem contributions sent in by our little readers! Remember, you can send your original work too!

Months of toil culminated in this BEAUTIFUL Your Pages special November 2025 issue, CBT's unique Children's Day gift to all the wonderful children of the world! The special issue has been created out of prizewinning entries--39 articles and 48 paintings--by children, carefully chosen from among hundreds of entries received in this year's Your Pages competition (a National-level competition). From cover to cover this edition is by children, for children. We are grateful to every participant, and the driving force behind them_ their parents and teachers_for making this event a whopping success!!! Grab a copy fast!

IT'S HERE! Children's World's 36th YOUR PAGES issue is finally out! And what a journey it has been to bring it to our young readers! Every year, we announce this national-level competition, inviting the best of creations from children, both written and drawn. Each year, we are inundated by entries from children all over and a lot of extremely difficult, sometimes impossible, decision-making results in something like this outstanding issue- the content of which is for the children, and by the children!

Heartiest congratulations to all the prizewinners! For those of you who could not win this time, take heart. Continue sending us your original works and we are sure to find space for you within our pages one of these days!

Finally, a huge note of gratitude for the parents, teachers, librarians and schools who encourage their children to hone their creative crafts and participate in our contests with so much zeal and enthusiasm.

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of our Founder-editor, K. Shankar Pillai on his 123rd birth anniversary. His spirit lives, guiding us.

The doyen of India's political cartooning scene, K. Shankar Pillai turns 123 years today. His quill defined the era of the birth of our nation. He was a dreamer and his love for children left behind a lasting legacy in the shape of CHILDREN'S BOOK TRUST (CBT) established by him in 1957. Under this broad umbrella of CBT, Shankar launched several projects to tickle the imagination and creativity in children and offer them avenues for cultural exchange and expression that still stand as his legacy. His pet project, Children's World magazine, in its 58th year, is a testimony to his colossal ingenuity, creativity and vision. Join us in wishing our Founder-Editor on his 123rd birth anniversary.
