Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that he has signed the file approving regulations that legally allow the use of 𝗘𝟭𝟬𝟬, or 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹, in India. According to Gadkari, this is an important step towards reducing the country's dependence on imported fossil fuels and promoting alternative energy sources.

For years, Gadkari has supported the idea of replacing petrol with ethanol-based fuels. He recently said that a dream for which he was once criticized is now becoming a reality after the approval of the new regulations. The move is expected to encourage automobile companies to launch more 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅-𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 that can run on high-ethanol fuel blends.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘀 𝗘𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁?

India imports a large portion of its crude oil requirements every year. Supporters of ethanol say that increased use of biofuels can help save foreign exchange, support farmers, and reduce pollution. The government believes that wider adoption of ethanol fuel could lower the country's dependence on imported oil and strengthen energy security.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀

However, not everyone is convinced. Many social media users have claimed that 𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗼𝗹 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 may damage vehicle parts, especially in older vehicles that were not designed for high ethanol content. Some users have reported concerns about fuel lines, engine components, and long-term maintenance costs.

Government officials, on the other hand, have previously stated that ethanol-blended fuel undergoes testing before approval and have argued that such fuels can be safely used in vehicles designed for them. Experts note that 𝗘𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 is intended for specially designed 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅-𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 rather than all existing petrol vehicles.

As India moves towards cleaner and more self-reliant energy solutions, the success of 𝗘𝟭𝟬𝟬 will depend on infrastructure, vehicle compatibility, and public confidence.

पाकिस्तान के कब्ज़े वाले जम्मू-कश्मीर में भारी अशांति का दूसरा दिन है। पाकिस्तानी सुरक्षा बलों के साथ झड़प में 11 नागरिकों की मौत की खबरों के बावजूद, प्रदर्शनकारी सुरक्षा कार्रवाई की परवाह किए बिना रावलकोट की ओर मार्च कर रहे हैं। राजनीतिक, आर्थिक और नागरिक अधिकारों की मांग कर रहे प्रदर्शनकारियों ने अपने आंदोलन का दायरा बढ़ा दिया है; अनुमान है कि रावलकोट, बाग, कोटली, मीरपुर, मुज़फ़्फ़राबाद और अन्य इलाकों में 1,50,000 से ज़्यादा लोग विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल हो रहे हैं।
