FIR Filed Over “Mini Bangladesh” Remark Regarding Dhubri
An FIR has been lodged at Golakganj Police Station against Sringkhal Chaliha of Bir Lachit Sena over an alleged social-media statement referring to Dhubri district as “Mini Bangladesh.”
The Jatiya Yuba Bahini, Gauripur Assembly Committee has submitted the complaint, alleging that the statement is derogatory and provocative and may have the potential to disturb social harmony.
The organization has urged the authorities to conduct a fair and impartial inquiry and take appropriate legal action in accordance with the law.
The matter has also sparked concern regarding the importance of maintaining peace, communal harmony, mutual respect, and social unity in Dhubri district and across Assam.
Law must prevail. Peace and social harmony must be protected.
