PLEASE PRAY FOR MANIPUR 🛐🙏
Please pray especially for the Naga and Kuki communities in Manipur—for peace, love, healing, forgiveness, and genuine reconciliation.
It is heartbreaking to hear that violence, the killing of innocent people, and the burning of homes have reportedly resumed, leaving many families in grief, fear, and uncertainty.
The ongoing ethnic conflict has deeply affected innocent civilians. Many people have lost their lives; some families are mourning and bereaved, while others are living with deep pain and sorrow. Some injured people are undergoing medical treatment, and some families are still waiting to lay their loved ones to rest, with dead bodies yet to be buried.
Many people are still living in relief camps, while some have been unable to access proper medical care. Many families have lost their homes, properties, livelihoods, and everything they worked for. Students’ education and futures have also been severely affected.
Even more painfully, anger, hatred, and the desire for revenge and further killings continue to grow among some people, making the path toward peace even more difficult.
🙏 Pray that the killing, firing, and violence will stop.
🙏 Pray for the protection of innocent lives and families.
🙏 Pray for those who are injured and receiving medical treatment.
🙏 Pray for families who are mourning and grieving the loss of loved ones.
🙏 Pray for those whose loved ones are still awaiting burial.
🙏 Pray for people living in relief camps and those without proper medical care.
🙏 Pray for families who have lost loved ones, homes, properties, and livelihoods.
🙏 Pray that anger, hatred, and the desire for revenge will be replaced by forgiveness and love.
🙏 Pray that the Naga and Kuki communities will choose peace rather than retaliation.
🙏 Pray for wisdom, courage, and humility among all leaders.
🙏 Pray that students and children can return to a life of safety, education, and hope.
The Manipur Government, Central Government, law-and-order agencies, CSO leaders, Church leaders, and neighbouring states have appealed for peace. Yet, despite many appeals and efforts, lasting peace remains difficult to achieve. Therefore, we must continue to cry out to God. When human efforts seem unable to bring lasting peace, we believe that God can change hearts, break the cycle of hatred and revenge, and bring true peace and reconciliation.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.”— Matthew 5:9 📖🌿
A PRAYER FOR MANIPUR 🛐
Lord Jesus, we cry out to You for Manipur.
Stop the violence, killing, firing, burning, and destruction. Protect innocent lives and comfort every family living in grief, fear, and displacement.
Lord, remember those who have lost their lives, those who are injured and receiving treatment, and every family that is mourning and bereaved. Comfort those who are waiting to bury their loved ones and grant dignity and peace to those who have passed away.
Provide for those in relief camps and make a way for those who cannot access proper medical care. Heal the wounds of those who have lost loved ones, homes, properties, and livelihoods. Remove anger, hatred, bitterness, and the desire for revenge from every heart. Give people the strength to choose forgiveness instead of retaliation and love instead of hatred. Touch the hearts of the Naga and Kuki communities. Give wisdom to government authorities, security agencies, civil society leaders, Church leaders, and all those working for peace.
Lord, when human efforts seem unable to bring lasting peace, intervene by Your mighty hand. Change hearts, restore trust, and bring genuine reconciliation.
May no more innocent lives be lost.
May the injured be healed and the grieving be comforted. May peace return to Manipur.
May love overcome hatred and reconciliation overcome division.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. ✝️🛐🙏🕊️
