Eight men from Jamalpur, Bangladesh, were caught by police at New Bongaigaon Railway Station for entering India illegally.

They said they entered through Meghalaya and were heading to Chennai for work. Each of them reportedly paid ₹8,500 to cross the border with help from agents.
