The new song 'Bithung Asami' was officially inaugurated by Mrs. Kache Teronpi at the CEM Bungalow in Diphu.

Diphu, March 11, 2025:

A new song titled 'Bithung Asami,' celebrating the vibrant girls of the Bithung Rengthama Election Constituency in West Karbi Anglong, was officially inaugurated by Mrs. Kache Teronpi at the CEM Bungalow in Diphu, on March 10, 2025. The inauguration coincided with Mrs. Teronpi's birthday. She is the wife of Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, the Hon'ble CEM of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC).

The song is a collaboration with ArniKeme Production. 'Bithung Asami,' which translates to "Girls of Bithung," is named for the constituency from which Hon'ble CEM Dr. Tuliram Ronghang originates. The song’s title combines "Bithung," representing the constituency, with "Asami," meaning "girls" in the Karbi language.

The track was composed by Christin Teron of Diphu City Rap, who was inspired by his experience as an invited artist during the Karbi New Year celebrations held on February 1st in various villages within the Bithung Rengthama constituency. These villages included Rongkuru, Menmiji, Mukhim, Karbi Rongsopi, Rongmindar, Artukekang, and Sarsenot. Teron stated that he was particularly moved by the beauty and spirit of the young women he encountered during his travels, which ultimately led to the creation of 'Bithung Asami.' The song is expected to be a hit, celebrating the cultural richness and beauty of the Bithung Rengthama constituency and its inspiring young women.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, CEM of KAAC; Mr. Madhuram Lekthe, EM of KAAC; Mr. Longsing Tokbi, Board Chairman; Mr. Koron Tokbi, VDC Chairman, Langhin; Mr. Laichan Engleng, Art & Cultural, Chairman; et al., marking a significant moment for the region's music scene.
