Assamese News | WKSA Demands Justice for Namrata Engtipi – Press Meet Highlights
Diphu, Karbi Anglong | July 20, 2025
The Women Karbi Students Association (WKSA) today held a press meet demanding immediate justice in the mysterious death of Namrata Engtipi, a young girl from Karbi Anglong whose dead body was recently recovered under suspicious circumstances.
WKSA leaders expressed deep concern over the slow pace of investigation and urged authorities to take swift action. They revealed that prior to Namrata’s death, a young man with the surname Teron was seen with her at multiple locations, raising serious suspicions about his possible involvement in the case.
The organization appealed to law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate the case, particularly focusing on the movements and connections of the said individual. WKSA asserted that justice must be delivered without delay and that such crimes against women should not go unpunished.
The student body also announced their readiness to launch democratic protests if justice is denied or delayed.
