Bishwanath District Karbi Community Demands APHLC to Stay Out of Politics Beyond Karbi Anglong, Praises Dr. Tuliram Ronghang’s Contributions
The Karbi community of Bishwanath district has expressed growing concerns over the involvement of the All Party Hills Leaders Conference (APHLC) in politics outside Karbi Anglong. In a statement that reflects the frustration of local residents, leaders of the community have urged the APHLC to focus solely on the development of Karbi Anglong and refrain from expanding their political activities beyond the region.
According to members of the Bishwanath Karbi community, the APHLC’s recent political maneuvers have been disturbing and are perceived to be hampering the progress of the Karbi people living in Bishwanath district. These actions, they argue, are dividing the community and diverting attention from the region's critical development needs.
In contrast, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), has been hailed as a beacon of progress for the Karbi people. Under his leadership, significant strides have been made in the development of Karbi Anglong, benefiting not only the people residing within the district but also Karbi communities living outside the region. His contributions in areas such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare have won widespread praise.
The Bishwanath Karbi community has expressed their desire for APHLC leaders to focus on the well-being of Karbi Anglong and its people rather than seeking political gains in other regions. Their call reflects a deep-rooted belief in unity and the importance of regional development for the betterment of all Karbi people, regardless of where they live. The community’s message underscores the need for political leadership that is grounded in the realities of the region, prioritizing the interests of its people above all else.
