KCS Cultural Troupe Set to Dazzle at Hornbill Festival 2025 : Karbi Cultural Society gears up for a landmark performance in Nagaland

Dimapur, Nagaland.

In a significant cultural milestone for the Karbi community, the Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) Cultural Troupe has been officially invited to perform at the prestigious Hornbill Festival 2025. The confirmation came today after a cordial and constructive meeting between a KCS delegation and Dr. Prashanna Gogoi, Director, North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), at the NEZCC office in Dimapur.

The KCS troupe will take the stage on 7th December 2025 at the iconic Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, where the Hornbill Festival - known as the “Festival of Festivals” - will be held from 1st to 10th December. Their participation marks yet another proud moment showcasing the rich traditions, vibrant attire, and timeless artistry of Karbi culture on a grand regional platform.

The delegation was led by:
Mr. Sunil Tokbi, GS, KCS Central Committee;
Mr. Kamsing Ingti, Vice President, KCS;
Mr. Khorsing Teron, Adviser to the CEM, KAAC;
Mr. Mongolsing Killing, Secretary and
Mr. Stalyn Ingti, Member, KCS.

During the meeting, the team also submitted a detailed memorandum seeking financial assistance from NEZCC for the successful conduct of the 52nd Karbi Youth Festival (KYF) 2026, one of the largest ethnic festivals in Northeast India and a flagship cultural celebration of the Karbi community.

The Karbi Cultural Society extended heartfelt appreciation to Hon’ble Chief Executive Member, KAAC, Dr. Tuliram Ronghang, whose unwavering support and vision continue to empower initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting Karbi cultural heritage across regional, national, and global stages.

As preparations begin in full swing, the Karbi community looks forward to a vibrant and impactful presentation at Hornbill Festival 2025 - one that will once again reaffirm the cultural pride of the Karbi people.
