Some evidence is emerging which prima facie establishes the involvement of a third party in connection with the employer. It is prima facie evident that there was a concerted plan between the employer and the third party, as reflected in the screenshots, to exert pressure upon the victim’s father. The third party has allegedly assured that the victim/complainant party would be persuaded to withdraw or compromise the case in return for cash consideration/reward from the employer to involved third party in the screen shot.
All relevant evidence, including WhatsApp chats, messages, CDRs, screenshots, documents and other electronic records, will be duly identified, secured and preserved.
It may be noted that any attempt to delete, destroy, conceal, alter, manipulate or cause the disappearance of material evidence, or to interfere with its production before the competent authority/court, may attract applicable penal provisions, including Sections 238 and 241 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, as applicable.
Accordingly, any act of destruction or tampering with evidence, inducement or influencing of witnesses, coercion or pressure upon the victim/complainant, or interference with the due course of investigation or administration of justice will be duly documented and brought to the notice of the competent investigating and judicial authorities.
