REPA – SEFI announces INDIA’s Top 3 Solar Energy Companies - RenewSys, ADANI Green Energy and Vikram Solar for the Prestigious SOURYA URJA Puraskaar 2022 ; MDs and CEOs get Top recognition as well.
🏞️Announced at the REPA (Renewable Energy Promotion Association), Forum SEFI – Solar Energy Forum International (formerly Solar Energy Forum of India) Organized “11th EnPower Solar and 6th RPO (Renewable Portfolio Obligation) Conclave” 2022.

REPA - SEFI announced INDIA’s Top 3 Solar Leading Companies at their 11th EnPower Solar 2022 held together with 6th RPO Conclave 2022.
- RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. won the Prestigious SOURYA URJA Puraskaar in the category “Solar & RET (Renewable Energy Technologies) Manufacturing” for their manufacturing capacities with break-up as : Backsheets 4 GW, EVA and POE Encapsulants 3 GW, Solar PV Modules 1.75 GW and Solar PV Cells 130 MW using State-of-the-Art set-up under completion at Patalganga, MAHARASHTRA including facilities in KARNATAKA for EVA Encapsulant and Backsheet leadership in the market for SPV and forward expansion towards SPV Module manufacturing.
- Avinash Hiranandani, Global CEO & Managing Director of RenewSys India Pvt. Ltd. also received the highest honour in Individual Leadership as “SOURYA RATNA” for his yeomen contribution.
- ADANI Green Energy Limited won the Prestigious SOURYA URJA Puraskaar in the category “Solar & RE Capacity Portfolio” for building up INDIA’s largest Renewable Energy (RE) Portfolio traction for the Company with presently 20.28 GW of REP Assets under various stages of build-up spread across 93 locations in 12 STATES.
- Vneet S Jaain, Managing Director & CEO of ADANI Green Energy was felicitated with the “SOURYA VIBHUSHAN” for his leadership in bringing AGEL into the top reckoning in INDIA and amongst leading Solar entities of Asia.
- Vikram Solar Limited was declared the “BEST Solar EPC Company” with amongst the Largest Captive Module Capacities in the country now upwards of 2.5 GW+ in manufacturing terms.
- Saibaba Vutukuri, Chief Executive Officer, Vikram Solar Limited, was conferred with “SOURYA BHUSHAN” for his leadership to the venture and for taking it to the EPC Market leadership as well with one of the few entities who have forward integrated manufacturing to EPC.
K K Gupta, Vice President, Larsen & Toubro, was felicitated with the prestigious Honorary GFRE (Global Fellowship in Renewable Energy) of REPA-WIRE.
The day also saw the REPA STATE rankings for Renewable Energy and the Top 5 leading STATES were TAMIL NADU, KARNATAKA, GUJARAT, RAJASTHAN and MAHARASHTRA. The list had the Top 12 States with SIKKIM ranked 12th being the North-Eastern State in recognition. TAMIL NADU and KARNATAKA together accounted for 40 GW + of RE traction.
The other winning States (6 – 11) were HIMACHAL PRADESH, ANDHRA PRADESH, MADHYA PRADESH, TELANGANA, UTTARAKHAND and ODISHA.
Tarun Kapoor, Former Secretary, MoPNG and Former Joint Secretary, MNRE, Government of INDIA, was the CHIEF GUEST of Honour while the Hon'ble Consulate General of INDIA in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, supported the REPA Forum and H. E. Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Hon'ble Consul General, joined as the INTERNATIONAL GUEST of Honour and addressed the Forum.
Prof. A G Iyer, President, REPA and Editor-in-Chief, ENERTIA ; Chairman, SEFI as well as Hon. Dean, REPA-WIRE (World Institute for Renewable Energy) was the Chairman and Moderator for the Day.

11th EnPower Solar had the Theme – “RUSM (Rashtriya Urja Sourya Mission) – INDIA A Solar SuperPower – Mission 400 GW Solar by 2026-27" while 6th RPO Conclave had the Theme – A Roadmap for 60% RPO Necessary for Powering INDIA to US $ 6 Trillion Economy by 2027.
