Earthmoving and Construction machinery market to begin recovery in 2016

The Earthmoving and Construction machinery market can expect the recovery to start in 2016. Progressive resumption is forecast next year on a global scale, which will be consolidated in 2017, with total sales of 880,000 units, up by 33% compared to estimated results for 2015. There will be a favourable trend over the next two years for the sector in Italy, which following the vertical collapse of 2007 (-72%), seeks to close 2017 with 12400 units, up 44.8% over the performance in 2015. These forecasts for the sector were presented by Veronafiere through the new SaMoTer-Veronafiere Outlook event organized in collaboration with Prometeia, an international economic consulting and research firm. The initiative is one of the run-up events leading to the appointment with the 30th edition of SaMoTer (22-25 February 2017) - Veronafiere's triennial show dedicated to the construction equipment sector held in conjunction with Asphaltica, the bitumen and road infrastructure event organized together with Siteb (Italian Bitumen, Asphalt and Road-Building Association), and Transpotec Logitec, the road transport and logistics appointment by Fiera Milano. The Samoter-Veronafiere Outlook also analyses the trend in the construction sector. Forecasts for India – one of the most dynamic markets for residential construction and civil engineering alike – suggest it should close 2015 at +5.6% of investments, climbing further to +6.9% in 2016 and +7.4% in 2017.

JCB Launches Shrunk Down Backhoe Loader

JCB has launched the shrunk down backhoe loader to help workmen on increasingly compact construction sites around the world. JCB chairman Lord Bamford said that the machine – 35 per cent smaller than the standard model – would prove popular with customers. The compact size help to go under smaller bridges and along narrow roads. It is the first compact backhoe loader which can send data to the customer so they know when it is operating and even its location if it is stolen. The backhoe loader was invented by JCB founder Joseph Cyril Bamford in 1953 and more than 600,000 have since been produced.

Atlas Copco Launches Dynapac F800T Paver With New Controls

Atlas Copco introduces a new 10-foot highway class paver with a wide range of new features to make for easier handling and increased productivity. The new Dynapac F800T tracked paver has dual, swing-out operator platforms for an unobstructed view from the side of the paver. Adding to the improved operator experience are the updated and more ergonomic controls, which group switches by their purpose and frequency. Under the hood, the Dynapac F800T features a six-cylinder Tier 4 Final Cummins that Atlas Copco says will need less maintenance than its four-cylinder counterparts. Atlas Copco also gave the new paver the Dynapac feed control system to eliminate material segregation and keep the material flow uniform with four ultrasonic sensors and the thinnest center chain box auger system on the paver market. The augers also have 17-inch diameter flights to get rid of centerline segregation. The Dynapac F800T also comes with the Carlson EZIV08-15 front-mounted electrical screed that gives the operator 8 to 10 feet of working width and a 1-inch mat. The screed has a 34-kilowatt, hydraulically driven generator that heats it without sticking and keeps the frequency control at 60 hertz no matter what the load or speed of the engine is.
