As long as we talk about City, we can’t miss the talks about the in the Holy city. Even though the much 84 of Vishwa Hindu Parishad ( ) ended in a damp squib, the issue has been kept alive by Ayodhya-bound saints who continue to arrive from neighbouring and only to be detrained and deported back by the police and authorities at .
The city and adjoining Naini railway station are the central point for several Mumbai-bound trains that pass through . This is the main reason behind the arrival of a major chunk of passengers from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, opined a senior railway official. Likewise for -bound from Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the city as the point given it's easy connectivity with towns of and .
The passengers also include saints and Vishwa Hindu Parishad ( ) volunteers who continue to arrive in the city with plan to proceed towards . This is being thwarted by the district administration and the police, said VHP's regional in charge Mr. Pawan Srivastava, who is also a close aide of chief patron Ashok Singhal.
Mr. Srivastava said that one of the reasons why occupies a place of prominence for VHP was the fact that it was the hometown of chief patron Ashok Singhal who makes visits on all important occasions. In fact during the peak period of 84 Kosi Yatra, not willing to take any chances, local police and district administration had sent back Singhal to Delhi by flight under police protection and supervision when he had come to city to immerse ashes of his late brother at Sangam.Few days back also a group of around 40 saints from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh led by Swami Akhileshwaranand ji had arrived in the city by train. They were detained at Allahabad by local police and sent back to Jabalpur in the evening under police protection.
Talking about the other side of the coin Situated just about 10 km from the district headquarters of Faizabad, the temple-city of Ayodhya is home to several religions. Many faiths have grown and thriven here at the same time over different periods of Indian history. For instance, as per the Jain chronicle, the five Tirthankaras, including the first Tirthankara Rishabhadeva, were all born at Ayodhya. Remnants of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Islam can still be traced here in Ayodhya.
The best experience in travelling was the kind of that has been defined at this place. Being a city connected to one of the strongest of the have introduces us with couple of facts that really defines the diversity of the places in itself. We have always had a word about different pros & cons about different parts of india have travelled across till now but this is something which will express the truth of the being so kind.
While our travel across the city we have been across a family where Mr. & Mrs. Shrivastava were residing since more than a decade. Actually the story of this beautiful couple Mr. Ramanand Shrivastava (69) & Mrs. Kamala Ramanand Shrivastava (61) starts with their 7 so called kids so called Gayatri, Yamuna, Bairavi, Goamti, Yamunotri, ganga & Godavari. The 7 names belong to the 7 cows that reside with Shrivastava family since more than a decade.
In a conversation with this couple we have came across several facts that really turned our minds towards the other side of the coin. This is something really amazing.
In an interview with us Mr. Shrivastava he introduced us with his 7 & he also added,”We have been taking care of ourselves (couple & cows) since more than a decade and are being part each others good & bad times. As due to illiteracy of this Mr. Shrivastava’s family he have been & for his complete family with certain farming work on others lands. Moreover, the 7 ’s are helping them in daily living as well with their milk which is been used in the milk farm that Mr. Srivastava have.
This story really touched our heart & made us write about them. It also proved human beings wrong as these animals (cows) were communicating very easily with this couple and not just till communication but also they were being & are still helping each other since more than a decade with no complains & demand. Such a beauty of nature right in this holy city of india. Really remarkable..!!!
The picture above was taken when Mrs. Shrivastava was calling the names of all her children & guess what all of them were coming back home. This is really the other side of the coin. Being a human we have forgotten take care of our parents and being an animal these 7 daughters (cows) of Shrivastava's taking care of themselves at their best.
Sometimes life is not just about sayings, its really means a lot when those good thoughts & saying are been used by people (illiterates too) practically that showcases such an huge example in the favour of not just humanity but their kindness too.

Mystery of Lord Rama's disappearance (Death)

Born as the eldest son of and , king of Ayodhya, Lord Rama is referred within Hinduism as , literally the Perfect Man or Lord of Self-Control or Lord of Virtue. His life and journey is one of adherence to dharma despite harsh tests and obstacles and many pains of life and time. A lot of people are not aware of how Sri Rama died. The answer to this question is extremely fascinating as it holds several mysterious and enthralling stories.
When we actually tried to know the real fact about the same from the locals most of the people also say that death is not a term used with of . All Avatars appear to restore Dharma and then they return to . of Sri Ram from earth happened when he entered voluntarily into the . This divine event is described as the death of Lord Rama. The story of the disappearance of Sri Ram is mentioned in many Hindu scriptures. This story of His death is from the .
Sri Ram ruled for eleven thousand years and performed numerous ‘yagnas’ for the benefit of his people. His sons and the sons of his brothers were made kings in many part of the large empire that he ruled. During this period Sita Devi also disappeared from earth when she was taken back by Bhudevi (Mother Earth). Luv and Kush grew to be just rulers like their father.
One day a sage came to Rama and asked him for a private audience. The Saint said that no one should enter the room in which they were having the conversation. Sri Ram directed Lakshman to guard the door of the room and said that if anyone entered the room during the conversation he will be put to death. In some versions of Ramayana, it is said that this saint was none other than (Time).
The sage appeared to remind Rama that the objective of his appearance on earth was complete and it was time for him return to Vaikunta. While Lakshmana was keeping a watch, the short tempered sage Durvasa approached him and demanded entry. He was furious when he was stopped. He threatened that he will lay a terrible curse of destruction on Ayodhya and its inhabitants and on the entire Raghu clan. Lakshmana was in a fix!
Lakshmana weighed the pros and cons. He concluded that his death would indeed be a lesser calamity than the entire population of Ayodhya being destroyed. So, he admitted Durvasa and received the punishment gladly. Lakshmana decided every act of his, on the touchstone of either Rama's wish or the general good. Soon Lakshman realized that this particular situation was the play of time for Him to disappear from earth. He readily agreed to the play of Kala (Time).
He then walked into the and took the form of . Sri Ram who came to know about the death of Lakshman decided that it was time to end His Avatar. He then handed over His responsibilities to his sons and bid adieu to all. Lord Rama walked deep into the Sarayu River and disappeared. Soon in the same spot Srihari Vishnu appeared resting on Ananta Sesha and blessed his devotees.
Another mythological story of Lord Rama’s death goes like this…one day, Rama was informed that it was time for him to die. He understood that those who take birth have to experience death. "Let Yama, come to me. It is time for me to return to Vaikuntha, my heavenly abode," he said. But Yama, the god of death, dared not enter Ayodhya as he was afraid of Hanuman who guarded the gates of Rama's palace.
To allow Yama's entry, it was necessary to distract Hanuman. So Rama dropped his ring into a crack in the palace floor and requested Hanuman to fetch it. Hanuman reduced himself to the size of a beetle and entered the crack only to discover that it was no crack but the entrance to a tunnel that led to Nag Lok, the land of serpents. Hanuman met Vasuki, the king of serpents there and informed him of his mission.
Vasuki took Hanuman to the centre of Nag Lok where stood a mountain of rings! "There you will surely find Rama's ring," said Vasuki. Hanuman wondered how he would do that as it was like finding a needle in a haystack. But to his delight, the first ring that he picked up was Rama's ring. To his astonishment, even the second ring he picked up was Rama's ring. In fact all the rings that made up the mountain were identical. "What is the meaning of this?" he wondered.
Vasuki smiled and said, "This world we live in goes through cycles of life and death. Each life cycle of the world is called a kalpa. Each kalpa has four yugas or quarters. In the second quarter or Treta Yuga, Rama takes birth in Ayodhya. Then one day his ring falls into the subterranean realm of serpents through a tunnel. A monkey follows it and Rama on earth dies. So it has been for hundreds of thousands of kalpas. All these rings testify to that fact.”
Vasuki continued, “The mountain keeps growing as more rings fall. There is enough space for the rings of future Ramas." Hanuman realised that his entry into Nag Lok and his encounter with the mountain of rings was no accident. It was Rama's way of telling him that he could not stop death from coming. Rama would die. The world would die. But like all things, Rama would be reborn each time the world is reborn.
Nearly 1,750,000 years. Man has been on the earth a lot longer than generally accepted. Space images taken by NASA reveal a mysterious ancient bridge in the Palk Strait between India and Sri Lanka. The bridge is made of a chain of shoals 18 miles long. The bridge's unique curvature and composition by age reveals that it is manmade. Legends as well as archeological studies reveal that the first sign of human inhabitants in Lanka date back to about 1,750,000 years ago the same as the bridge’s age.
An analysis done by Prof. and Bhatnagar (Archaeological Experts)
shows that at a certain point in time, the planetary configuration mentioned at the time of Lord Rama's birth did indeed exist and thus, the numerous astrological references in the ramayan are not imaginary but refer to actual points in time. What is amazing is that even today the places related to Lord Rama, the stories, the Geographical co-ordinates of the cities mentioned etc. are still remembered in the Hindu tradition!

for people is a city known for the ( ). We have never expected that the city would give us certain surprises unless we met with B.B. Lal, a former of the of .
At , Professor Lal took as many as 14 at different places to the of the site. It was then found that the history of the township was at least three thousand years old, if not more … . When seen in the light of 20 black stone pillars, 16 of which were found re-used and standing in position as corner stones of piers for the disputed domed structure of the , Prof. Lal felt that the pillar bases may have belonged to a Hindu temple built on levels formed prior to 13th century. He also found a door-jamb carved with icons and motifs of , , , , lotus flowers etc.
Prof. Lal had hard luck at . His southern trenches missed a huge pit with 40 and odd sculptures just by 10 to 12 feet. But he did get the pillar bases of the pre-16th century demolished-temple which others did not get. The team found that the objects were datable to the period ranging from the 10th through the 12th century, i.e., the period of the late Pratiharas and early Gahadvals. The kings of these two dynasties hailing from Kannauj had ruled over Avadh and eastern Uttar Pradesh successively during that period.

(Mahants) -

The connections between some of the cultural changes of the 1960's and Hinduism are widely known.
The Beatles and many others brought some of the sounds and beliefs of to a wide audience in the West & North. Ayodhya being one of the major in those. As per india beliefs this is the places of the birth of .
Talking about the Emerging young Saints in india (As shown in the image), the trend is getting so viral that most of the local resident (including ) opt out of and life, and live in with other seekers.
However, it is not the intellectual connections that have struck me here. Rather, it is the sense of a type of counterculture among the many babas and saddhus that gathered in ayodhya in large numbers every year. Hinduism, while suggesting a strongly regulated life through dharma, does make room for people who are from a young age drawn to and to opt out of mainstream married and family life, and live in communal ashrams with other seekers. They go regularly to gatherings around India, and these function must like gatherings of hippies did in the 1960's; they are an opportunity to share news, insights, see friends, have shared spiritual experiences, and yes, sometimes, to use substances to achieve an altered state of consciousness. Here, of course, most of the holy men smoke a conspicuous among of hashish in chillums; hashish is sacred to Shiva and is an aid in reaching him in meditation. It is also a powerful social ritual and bond.

, & - The & of

Most of the 7,000 temples and maths in have become centres of crime. Over the past few years, more than 250 sadhus have been booked for crimes, including murder; some have been killed in police encounters. For instance, Mahant Harinarayan Das, who was killed in an encounter near Gonda last year, had several criminal charges against him, including murder. Mahant Ram Prakash Das was shot dead by the police in 1995.
The of some temples are accused of illegally taking over the property of other temples, murdering their chief priests or expelling them by force. Many ofAyodhya’s “saints” are busy accumulating property, fighting legal battles and arranging for bodyguards.

The are so many stories as such but the main reason is “Why ’s take to ?”
The main reason is for the of . “Many disciples are so impatient to get to the top that they cannot wait ununtil the mahant is dead. They are ready to kill them,” says Sadhu Ram Narayan Das. Another reason why sadhus are drawn to crime is their greed for another temple’s property. For instance, a gang of sadhus prevented the mahant of Rang Nivas Mandir from entering the temple premises and occupied it. Now, the ousted mahant lives in penury.
Locals claim any sadhu can become a mahant by paying the right price. “The highest bidder gets the title,” says Mahant Yugal Kishore Shastri. Rivalry between various ashrams is another factor leading to crimes. “‘My god and my temple are more authentic than yours.’ That’s the mindset at work,” says Raghuvar Sharan, a sadhu.

Keeping these couple of facts behind one more question that usually rings in several individuals mind “ become ?”
The holy city has its share of criminals-turned- sadhus. “Several criminals have turned into sadhus and settled in ,” says Mahant Gyan Das of Hanuman Garhi temple. “Their appearance may have changed but not their actions.” Take the case of Kamdev Singh, a notorious gangster from Begusarai, Bihar, who had been accused of murdering several communist activists. Before he was killed in an encounter with the police in 1983, he was in Ayodhya for a long time in the garb of a sadhu.

Going through all that only one thing came into our mind. has created us & we are already doing hell lot of s**t of the . Why are we doing on our himself.
about it..If we need a ..only can make it ..!!!

As we are done with our first season of - Journey’s redefined, So posting this news letter to inform you all that Yatratya is moving into the north again & this time its gonna be Ayodhya. Again a so called spiritual places in india but as you all know yatratya is not just about showcasing the art but its even more. Its about letting all our acolytes experience the best side of the traveller. So here we are with our fresh season “ - ”.
As we are on our to to the destination while heading towards Ayodhya we had a halt at Lucknow - The city of & guess what we found this city as beautiful as it would have never been thought of. Frankly speaking we could not stop from sharing one of the captures we got here in lucknow of one of the oldest & fines places of all times.

- An Architectural Marvel
It is one of the most beautiful monuments of India, also known as Asfi Imambara after the name of its creator Nawab Asaf-Ud-Daula. Lucknow is called the City of Nawabs, and true to its name, it has been a center for art and culture in North India for centuries. The people are also royal in true sense - their language is pure, they are lovers of good things in , and and are generally a happy bunch; proud of their past, looking into the future. Now how can I say all these things with authority? I can, because I've known many of them very closely. and people! But the discussion about living beings some other time, this post is about a 227 piece of history that doesn't but is very much .
There are two magnificent -arched gateways to enter the premises. Move inside and the first impressive structure that you see on your right side is the Asfi Mosque. This mosque is still is use but only muslims are allowed to enter it. Moving ahead, there is huge courtyard, which leads you into Imambara's central hall. Standing here, look back. You can see the side view of the Asfi mosque and marvel at the beautiful golden color of the structure.
While I was busy clicking pictures, I overheard a guide telling a group of visitors about this special spot in baoli. He revealed that the gate of the baoli and one window were so perfectly aligned that by standing behind that particular window, a person could see anyone entering into the baoli. This was used to monitor the gate of baoli.
There is so much to write about this beautiful monument but as we were short of time, so couldn’t write much. we would get this beautiful city redefined for you all in Yatratya’s way soon but as of now enjoy this click & think about the coming ups.
when we left , it left a of for us, of them in form of ..!!!

was Established at the time of british collector in 1864. It has around 50000 objects in their collection

out of which around 7000 sculptures are from arts (Kushana’s spend a huge amount of time in after Kanishaka).

The best part is some of the objects are masterpieces (only a single sculpture available all across the globe).

Talking about the history of apart from ’s & ’s even some traveller also visited Mathura & showcased Some of their really fine arts of all times.

Talking about all the sculptures that has, it has a combinations of Sculputure defining the culture of , & ’s the most.

On our visit to the one of the dissapointing things to talk about was the density of the indian travellers, as being one of the best collection from the indian history where the people around the globe are very much interested to know much about, the people from india doesn’t seems to be much interested about knowing such facts & truths about such a sculptural beauty from the indian history.

What we have found that the fact which should be well known the the indian crowed seems to be not at all known as compared to the foreign individuals (Travellers).

In an interview with Dr. A. K. Pandey (Director, U.P. Museum Directorate) he expressed that “Being one of the most equipped sculptural centre of all the times it feels really disappointing to see that lack of interest & knowledge of amongst the indian’s about such an extraordinary sculptural hub of all times.”

Dr. Pandey also added, “ Its also been observed that their are couple of interesting facts that Museums in india have, which are well known to the foreign travellers, out of which the couple of things which are never even been heard by the locals here in india.”

Talking about the advancement & Enhancement of the museum Dr. Pandey said, “ We have several plans of enhancement of the museum. He also added that we have plans for the advancement of the Museum with introducing audio guides into the picture, which would be self explanatory to the visitors, coming across museum in different languages (Hindi & English initially).”

Talking further He also added a funny part that usually happens in india & should be taken care by the government is that having such an paradise alumini, after pushing so hard the state government has finally given some hope for the development of the same.” He also added with a smile on his face that, “we have now started thinking about something for around 150 year old alumni, so off-course it would take time to get the things stream lined. We hope this could make indians (young guns) to be aware about such an fascinating era of india history.”

We would like to request the people in india to get aware about such historical paradise of India, Rather than visiting away from the country lets visit such places & get to know about our own country first.

We always talk about india & usually blame others why India is still a developing country but actually we are the once who are responsible for it. We find roaming different part of the world more fascinating than travelling here in india first.

We are not asking you all to stop tracelling in foreign countries but what we are requesting is to have a look around yourself first before going further as there could be a paradise next to you that you are in searching for..!!!

Special Thanks to Dr. A. K. Pandey (Director, U.P. Museum Directorate)

Being in outmost many temples, (Rangaji) Temple is one amongst the most prominent & famous Temples. This great and marvellous temple was built by the wealthy family of in 1851. Built in sprawling and massive space this mind-blowing temple has an amazing architecture since made in Style. It is said that this Temple with such a magnificent architecture was dedicated to Shri Rangnatha depict of . This temple has a traditional South Indian (gateway), a -styled entrance gate and an influenced colonnade. Here one will notice that the main priests of the Temple are solely the South Indian Brahmins and their dominance is such that the Non- Indians are prohibited to enter the main temple where deity is located. It’s quite weird.
Apart from all this, what lighten our mind while the stroll around the temple was the 108 houses inside the temple’s huge campus. These rooms were specially built for the priests and other families associated with the temple having a small well (Tank) in each house which is something unique about the premises. As one of the temples from 108 an end number of devotees from south visit over here. The surroundings were spotlessly clean and maintained as it is; which was extremely impressive. Overall we experienced quite a peaceful ambience.
