Bullion Trader Duped of Rs 1.6 Crore with Photo of Anupam Kher on Fake Currency

A bullion trader in Gujarat was defrauded of Rs 1.6 crore, according to the city police on Sunday. The incident came to light when the victim, the owner of a bullion trading firm, discovered that the currency notes given in exchange for gold bore the image of actor Anupam Kher instead of Mahatma Gandhi.
A case of cheating has been registered against unidentified individuals for allegedly duping the trader by handing over counterfeit currency featuring pictures of Anupam Kher, the police said.
The complaint was lodged by Mehul Thakkar, who owns a bullion firm in Ahmedabad's Manek Chowk area. According to the police, the perpetrators set up a sophisticated scam, approaching Thakkar with a request to purchase 2,100 grams of gold, to be delivered to a courier firm on CG Road in Navrangpura on September 24.
Thakkar's employees delivered the gold to the location where two suspects were present. In exchange, the suspects handed over a plastic cover, claiming it contained Rs 1.3 crore in cash. They also provided a counting machine to verify the amount. However, the two suspects fled the scene under the guise of collecting the remaining Rs 30 lakh from a nearby shop.
When Thakkar’s employees opened the plastic cover, they found counterfeit notes inside. The police have registered the case at Navrangpura police station.
Inspector A.A. Desai revealed that the courier firm where the gold was delivered was also a fraud, with no official rent agreement in place. "They had rented the shop, installed a fake courier firm sign, and promised the landlord to sign the agreement in a day or two. The currency notes were fake, featuring images of Anupam Kher," the officer explained.
The police have launched an investigation and are searching for the accused, though no arrests have been made yet.

Arvind Kejriwal Reaches Out to Public after Resignation, Appeals to People’s Court

New Delhi: After stepping down as Delhi’s Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal addressed the public at Jantar Mantar, reiterating his commitment to honesty and transparency. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor emphasized that he would only return to the Chief Minister’s chair if the people granted him a certificate of integrity. Alongside him were Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, Cabinet Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, Organization Minister Sandeep Pathak, Assembly Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birla, Manish Sisodia, MLA Durgesh Pathak, Dilip Pandey have also reached the public court.
In his address, Kejriwal stated, “I have only earned respect in my life. Today, as I resign and prepare to vacate the Chief Minister’s residence, I have no house to live in Delhi. Over the past decade, I have gained your blessings, not wealth. I did not come here for power or money. If I had wanted to earn money, I would have stayed in my income tax job and made crores. But I came for the country.”
He claimed that a conspiracy had been hatched against him and his leaders were unjustly jailed. He mentioned the challenges faced during his tenure, including being framed under stringent laws like the PMLA Act. Kejriwal highlighted his government’s achievements, such as providing free electricity, water, and improved education in Delhi. “If I were corrupt, could I have made electricity and water free? Could I have built good schools in Delhi?” he asked, urging people to decide if he was honest in the upcoming elections.
Kejriwal posed five questions to the RSS, criticizing PM Modi's actions, including the induction of corrupt leaders into the BJP and undermining democracy. He questioned the RSS’s stance on BJP’s deviation from their principles and its treatment of senior leaders like Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi.

Rajesh Nagar should win with a huge vote for the development of the area: Krishan Pal Gurjar

Faridabad: Senior Gujjar leaders today campaigned vigorously in support of BJP candidate Rajesh Nagar from Tigaon assembly constituency. Addressing a huge public meeting at Neemka, Union Minister of State Krishan Pal Gurjar appealed to the people to vote for the BJP for the development of the region and form a double engine government for the third time in Haryana. He said that there is no need to fall into any kind of misconception and vote for BJP's lotus symbol. Prominent leaders like former Uttarakhand leader Pranav Singh Champion, Dadri leader Tejpal Singh Nagar and former minister Nawab Singh Nagar were also present on the occasion.

Gurjar said that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party has done many such works in the country and the states, which no one had imagined. Today, those who do not give an account of 70 years, they ask for an account of our 10 years. But they also know that in these 10 years, India has jumped from the 15th position to the 5th position and in the coming times, it is going to become the third superpower of the world. This is the result of BJP's policies and good governance. "You have always supported the BJP and we will again form a double engine government in Haryana," he said."

Gurjar said that today roads in Tigaon assembly constituency have rejuvenated the entire area. Where there are good roads, there is rapid development. Our government has fulfilled promises like Ram Mandir, Article 370, Article 35A. At the same time, 'Skill India' has recognized India's economic strength in the world today. You make the BJP government for the third time in Haryana, just like you made Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for the third time at the Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP candidate Rajesh Nagar said, "I have been blessed by such big leaders and people have come in such large numbers to support me. Today I have come to believe that we definitely get the fruits of our actions. I must have done some good work for the people of the area, who are accepting me as their son today. I am confident that you will make me victorious by voting on the lotus symbol and form the BJP government for the third time in Haryana."

Young Biker Killed in Tragic Collision with Wrong-Side SUV in Gurugram

A young biker, Akshat Garg, tragically lost his life when his motorcycle was struck by an SUV driving on the wrong side of the road in DLF Phase II, Gurugram, authorities reported. The incident, involving a Mahindra 3XO, occurred on Sunday, September 15. The SUV driver, identified as Kuldeep Thakur, was arrested but later released on bail.
The accident was captured on a GoPro camera worn by Akshat's friend, documenting the collision on a high-speed lane near Belvedere Park on Golf Course Road. Pradyuman, a close friend and eyewitness, alleged that Thakur’s reckless driving on the wrong side of the road led to the fatal crash. Despite the quick arrival of an ambulance, Akshat succumbed to his injuries.
The video also shows Pradyuman confronting Thakur, questioning his wrong-side driving, while urging bystanders to call the police. Gurugram Police have registered an FIR against Thakur under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act, including Section 106 (causing death by negligence), Section 281 (rash driving), Section 324(4) (mischief causing damage exceeding Rs 20,000), and Section 166 (compensation after a motor vehicle accident). Though detained at the scene, Thakur was later granted bail.

Rail Jihad: A Dangerous Trend Threatening India's Rail Network

India's railway network, one of the world's largest, serves as the lifeline for millions, connecting people, cities, and cultures. However, a sinister trend has emerged, posing a grave threat to the safety and security of this crucial mode of transportation: the deliberate attempts to derail trains across different parts of the country. This phenomenon, being dubbed "Rail Jihad" by some, has raised serious concerns among authorities and the public alike.

A Series of Alarming Incidents
Over the past few years, India has witnessed an unsettling increase in attempts to sabotage railway tracks. From the sabotage attempt on the Patna-Indore Express in Kanpur in 2016, which resulted in the tragic loss of over 150 lives, to more recent incidents of tracks being deliberately tampered with in Bihar, West Bengal, and Maharashtra, the pattern is clear: the nation's railways are being targeted systematically.
One of the most prominent cases involved the Kalindi Express, which narrowly avoided a disaster when it collided with an LPG cylinder placed on the tracks near the Mundheri Crossing in Kanpur. This incident raised concerns about a potential plot to derail the train. Similar incidents have been reported in other parts of India, including the derailment of the Vande Bharat Express and attempts to sabotage other trains.
In many cases, authorities have discovered deliberate acts of sabotage, such as the removal of fishplates, tampering with signaling systems, or even planting explosive devices on tracks. These acts are not mere vandalism but are carried out with the intent to cause massive casualties and disruption, pointing towards a well-coordinated effort to inflict terror.

Motives and Modus Operandi
While the term "Rail Jihad" has been used to describe these acts, it is crucial to approach the issue with sensitivity and avoid stigmatizing any particular community or group. The motives behind these acts can be varied, ranging from personal grievances and local disputes to more organized efforts aimed at creating fear and panic.
Investigations have revealed that in some cases, local groups with political or criminal motives have been involved. However, there are also indications of a larger, more organized effort by extremist groups seeking to destabilize the country. The use of social media to spread false information and instigate such acts has also been observed, complicating the efforts to track down the culprits.

Impact on Public Safety and National Security
The implications of these incidents are far-reaching. Beyond the immediate threat to the lives of passengers, these acts of sabotage undermine public confidence in the safety of rail travel. The economic impact is also significant, as disruptions to the railway network can cause delays in the movement of goods and people, affecting trade and commerce.
For the Indian Railways, which is already grappling with issues of modernization and safety, these acts of sabotage present an additional challenge. Ensuring the security of over 65,000 kilometers of track is no easy task, and requires a coordinated effort between railway authorities, local law enforcement, and intelligence agencies.

Steps to Counter the Threat
In response to this growing menace, the Indian Railways and government have stepped up security measures. Surveillance systems have been enhanced, with more CCTV cameras being installed at key locations. Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have been deployed in larger numbers, and there is a greater emphasis on patrolling vulnerable sections of the network.
Intelligence agencies are also working to identify and neutralize the networks behind these sabotage attempts. There is a need for better coordination between state and central agencies to ensure timely sharing of information and swift action.
Public awareness is another crucial aspect. The common people play a vital role in reporting suspicious activities around railway tracks and stations. Encouraging vigilance and timely reporting can help prevent potential disasters.

A Call for Collective Responsibility
The phenomenon of "Rail Jihad" is a grim reminder of the vulnerabilities in India's transport infrastructure. While the term itself is controversial and can lead to communal tension, the reality of the threat it represents cannot be ignored. It is essential for the media, authorities, and the public to address this issue with a balanced perspective, focusing on the safety and security of all citizens.
Ultimately, safeguarding India's rail network requires a collective effort. It is not just the responsibility of the authorities, but of every citizen, to remain vigilant and proactive. By working together, we can thwart these nefarious attempts and ensure that the nation's lifeline remains safe and secure for everyone.

Mamata Banerjee Offers to Resign as Chief Minister, Prioritizing Justice Over Position

Web India News
Mamata Banerjee offered to step down as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, stating she is unconcerned about holding the position. "I am ready to resign as the Chief Minister of West Bengal. The post does not matter to me. I seek justice, and my only focus is on ensuring justice is served," she said during a press briefing after protesting doctors failed to attend a scheduled meeting with her.
Banerjee’s offer to resign followed a protest by doctors over the brutal r**e and murder at RG Kar Medical College. The doctors refused to meet her, demanding live telecast of the meeting, which the state government had not agreed to. The government had offered to record the meeting instead, but the doctors insisted on live streaming.
The Chief Minister expressed that she made multiple efforts to engage with the junior doctors. "I waited for them for three days. They should have come and resolved the issue. Despite their rejection of the Supreme Court's order, I waited with my top officials, including the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DG, and my MoS," Banerjee said.
"I apologize to the people of this country and the world who support the doctors. Please continue your support. I have no issue with that. We seek justice for the common people and their treatment. According to the Supreme Court's directive, the doctors must return to their duties," she added. Banerjee also noted that although three days had passed since the court's order, the state had refrained from taking disciplinary action, saying, "Sometimes we must tolerate certain things, it is our duty to tolerate."
Banerjee mentioned that she waited for two hours for the scheduled meeting but received no response from the protesting doctors, who had reached the state secretariat, Nabanna. West Bengal Chief Secretary Manoj Pant reiterated that the state government made every effort to facilitate the meeting.
"We arranged for the proceedings to be recorded, ensuring the entire discussion would be documented. There should be mutual trust between the parties. We want to hear their concerns. There is no conflict; we share the same objective. I don’t understand why they feel that without live streaming, they cannot attend the meeting. We want to document everything and have a thorough discussion," Pant said.

Singer Kanhaiya Mittal Denies Joining Congress After Viral Video

Web India News
During the Haryana assembly elections, one name suddenly gained attention: Kanhaiya Mittal. A video of the singer, known for his song "Jo Ram ko laaye hain hum unko laayenge," went viral on social media, sparking speculation that he might join the Congress party.
Mittal clarified his political stance, stating, "I have never joined the BJP. They invited me to sing 'Jo Ram ko laaye hain,' and I performed. Yogi Adityanath is my guru and will always be. Just as two sons of the same mother can be in different political parties, a guru and disciple can too."
However, Mittal posted another video on social media, retracting his earlier statement. He explained, "In the past two days, I realized how much my Sanatan brothers and sisters, as well as the BJP leadership, care for me. I apologize for the confusion caused by my statement about joining Congress. I take it back because I don’t want to break the trust of my community. We belong to Ram, have always belonged to Ram, and will continue to do so. I apologize again for causing any disturbance. Mistakes happen, and I take responsibility for mine. I thank the BJP leadership once again."

Chinese Man Overwork 104 day nonstop, dies from organ failure

Web India News: A tragic case highlights the dangers of excessive work hours. A 30-year-old Chinese painter, identified as A'bao, died from organ failure in June 2023 after working a grueling 104 days straight with only one day off.
A'bao had signed a contract in February 2022 and was assigned to a project in Zhoushan, China. From then until May, he worked tirelessly, exceeding the legal working hours according to Chinese Labour Law (8 hours per day, 44 hours per week).
After feeling unwell on May 25th, A'bao finally took a sick day. However, his condition worsened rapidly, leading to hospitalization on May 28th. Doctors diagnosed him with a lung infection and respiratory failure, which ultimately led to his death on June 1st.
A'bao's family filed a lawsuit against his employer for negligence. Social security officials initially denied classifying his death as work-related, but the family argued that the extreme work schedule weakened A'bao's immune system and contributed to his passing. The company contested this claim, stating A'bao's workload was reasonable and any extra hours were voluntary. They also cited pre-existing health conditions as a potential factor.
A Chinese court ultimately ruled in favor of A'bao's family, holding the employer 20% liable for his death. The court acknowledged the violation of labor laws and the link between A'bao's weakened immune system and the excessive work schedule. The family received a total of 400,000 yuan (approximately Rs.47,46,000) in compensation for financial losses and emotional distress. Although the company appealed, the original verdict was upheld in August.
