Team Tastepreneur & AGSKI360 wishes everyone a Happy Dhanteras!
According to Hindu mythology, on this day Lord Dhanvantari emerged from the ocean during the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean) holding a pot of Amrit (nectar of immortality) and the holy Ayurveda scriptures.
This is why the day is considered very auspicious for health and well-being.

“Dhan” means wealth. On Dhanteras, people worship Maa Lakshmi and Kuber (God of Wealth) to invite prosperity, happiness, and abundance into their homes and businesses.
People clean and decorate their homes and shops, light diyas, and perform Lakshmi Puja.

It’s believed that buying gold, silver, utensils, or any new valuable item on Dhanteras brings good luck and prosperity. This tradition is also a symbol of new beginnings.

Dhanteras is celebrated two days before Diwali, and it marks the start of the festival. After Dhanteras comes Chhoti Diwali, then Diwali, Govardhan Puja, and finally Bhai Dooj.

Dhanteras is celebrated to welcome wealth, health, and prosperity into our lives and honor Lord Dhanvantari and Goddess Lakshmi.
