Manigam Ganderbal:
The moment people see Ramdhan crescent even if it is fainter and not visible to all, a drummer has to start his one month journey full of obstacles and challenges as he has to awake people for -dawn ( ) every day till Eid. Ah kumar a son of Late . kumar has been doing his job of ( ) since decades after his father died. Late Gh. Mohd kumar from his used to beat the drum every year in the month of Ramdhan to awake people for -dawn meals and spent his whole life as a drummer. After his death took over the charges of beating drum and kept our old tradition and alive for which is famous and known to everyone in the district and outside as well. Ah when said that he will hard to keep this tradition alive and People of Manigam for their , and in terms of , he added that he manages to make his both ends meet with the help of he is getting from the people of Manigam.
