On Human Rights Day, the world speaks loudly about protecting freedoms, yet remains silent about one of the gravest human rights tragedies—Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in Kashmir. For decades, this exported terror has robbed thousands of innocent Kashmiris of their most basic right: the right to live. Children orphaned, mothers widowed, youth pushed into fear instead of opportunity. This is the harsh reality the people of Kashmir have lived with, not because of conflict, but because terrorism was deliberately injected into our society to break our social fabric and derail peace.
The recent Pahalgam terrorist attack on innocent tourists is a painful reminder that Pakistan-backed terror networks continue to target peace, progress and innocent lives. Kashmir has paid the highest price, not in words or speeches, but in blood, tears and shattered families. If the global community truly values human rights, then it must recognize that terrorism is the biggest, ugliest and most ruthless violator of human rights. No declaration, no slogan, no celebration of Human Rights Day is meaningful unless it acknowledges the suffering of Kashmiris caused by terrorism.
The need of the hour is clear: protect the people of Kashmir from Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, safeguard our youth from becoming its next victims, and ensure that peace and security take precedence over violence and manipulation. Kashmir deserves healing, development and dignity—not bullets, bombs or fear. On this Human Rights Day, let the world stand with the people of Kashmir, acknowledge their decades-long pain, and support a future where every Kashmiri can live without the shadow of terrorism. True human rights will prevail only when Pakistan-sponsored terrorism ends. 🇮🇳🕊️
