Gunfire Erupts Again Outside Kapil Sharma’s Surrey Restaurant Amid Gang Links Probe
For the third time in four months, comedian Kapil Sharma’s restaurant in Surrey, Canada, has come under fire. The latest shooting adds to a string of attacks that began in July, pointing toward an escalating pattern of violence allegedly connected to gang networks operating across international lines.
According to reports, individuals identified as Goldy Dhillon and Kuldeep Sidhu—both believed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi group—have publicly taken credit for the incident through social media. In a post circulating online, Dhillon reportedly warned civilians to steer clear of the establishment, while asserting that the act was directed specifically at Sharma.
The post, which could not be independently authenticated, suggested that previous attempts to reach Sharma had gone unanswered. It also included a veiled threat, implying that future action could extend to Mumbai if the warning continued to be ignored.
The attacks follow earlier incidents on July 10 and August 8, one of which saw over two dozen rounds fired at the café, known locally as Kaps Caffe.
The shootings come shortly after Canadian authorities designated the Lawrence Bishnoi group as a “terror entity” in late September, citing its ongoing operations and influence within the South Asian diaspora. Officials in Ottawa noted that the gang’s activities have targeted individuals and communities across Canada, deepening concerns about transnational criminal reach.
