Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns as Union Education Minister-

The minister submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister on July 25 following sustained protests by the Cockroach Janta Party at Jantar Mantar. The demonstrations centred on accountability for the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and other examination irregularities.

Abhijeet Dipke of the informed supporters of the development, stating the movement would continue until remaining demands are met.

NH 10 Road Section Set for Closure -

The National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. will shut the NH-10 stretch at 20th Mile, Km 60.180, to all vehicles from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on July 11, 12 and 13, 2026. Officials cited safety needs during ongoing emergency repairs and expected traffic pressure as reasons for the three-day measure.

Motorists can use the open NH-717A route through Rangpo–Rorathang–Pakyong–Ranipool. Light motor vehicles may also take the Duga–Pendam Road linking Singtam and Rangpo. Authorities urged travellers to adjust plans and seek local traffic updates.
