Zee Secures Exclusive Rights to Broadcast 2026 FIFA World Cup in India

New Delhi — With the FIFA World Cup fast approaching, Zee Entertainment Enterprises on Monday announced that it has secured the exclusive broadcast and streaming rights for the tournament in India.

The landmark agreement extends beyond the 2026 FIFA World Cup, covering a wide range of FIFA properties through 2034. This includes the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup next year, the 2030 FIFA World Cup, and a slate of exclusive football-related docu-series.

Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Arrives at Bagdogra Airport on Official Visit to Sikkim
Siliguri, June 4 : Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Mr Ajay Tamta, arrived at Bagdogra Airport today on a three-day official visit to Sikkim from June 4 to June 6, 2026.
During his visit, Mr Ajay Tamta will undertake inspections of key National Highway projects, including NH-10, NH-710 and NH-510. He will also chair review meetings on various Central Government programmes, policies and infrastructure development projects being implemented in the State.
The visit aims to assess the progress of ongoing highway development works and review the implementation of important infrastructure initiatives in Sikkim.
Upon his arrival at Bagdogra Airport, Mr Ajay Tamta was warmly received by officials from the Protocol Unit, Camp Bagdogra, and Liaison Officer, Mr Jigme Lachungpa, Superintendent Engineer, Roads and Bridges Department.

At least 10 people lost their lives after a massive fire broke out at the Lemon Green Restaurant in the Malviya Nagar area of South Delhi on Tuesday morning.

According to officials, the Delhi Fire Service received an emergency call around 9:00 AM, following which multiple firefighting units were immediately dispatched to the scene. A total of 10 fire tenders were rushed to control the blaze.

Firefighters launched an extensive operation to douse the flames, while rescue teams worked tirelessly to evacuate those trapped inside the building. The intensity of the fire caused significant damage to the premises, raising concerns over safety measures in commercial establishments.

Authorities have confirmed fatalities, and several injured individuals are believed to have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and an investigation has been initiated.

MLA Erung Tenzing Lepcha Inspects Completed Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana House at Suldung Kamling

Gyalshing, Sikkim: Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) and the guidance of Area MLA Shri Erung Tenzing Lepcha, a house constructed under the Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana for Shri Bhim Kumar Manger at Suldung Kamling GPU, Ward No. 03, has already been completed by the SKM Government.

However, despite completion, the house currently remains in an incomplete condition due to lack of occupancy and proper maintenance by the beneficiaries.

Today, Area MLA Shri Erung Tenzing Lepcha visited the site to conduct an inspection. During his visit, he urged the owner and family members to reside in the house and take proper care of the property. He emphasized that the government’s initiative is aimed at improving living standards, and its benefits can only be fully realized if the beneficiaries actively utilize and maintain the provided facilities.

The MLA further highlighted the importance of responsibility and community participation in ensuring the success of such welfare schemes.
