I have known Rev. Dr. Borman Roy Sohkhia since my childhood. When I was very young, he once asked me, “What will you become when you grow up?” Without much thought, I replied, “A pastor.” He smiled, prayed for me, and said, “Good.” Today, by God’s grace, I have received the privilege to serve as a pastor, shepherding the flock of God — the very sheep he once cared for. His preaching and lifestyle deeply touched my life and continue to inspire me.
In 1992, he came to Sikkim as a missionary. When he met Rev. Marshal Gurung, their vision and mission in the Lord matched, and together the Church of God was started. From that time until today, his life and ministry have been a blessing for us.
Now that he has gone to be with the Lord, his teachings and example remain with us. His life and ministry have raised many servants of God, and his legacy continues to bear fruit.
We at Church of God Bypass will always remember his life and ministry with gratitude. We continue to uphold his family in our prayers, asking God to grant them strength and comfort.
