A Small Beginning, A Bigger Dream 🤖📖

Feeling truly grateful to share a small but very meaningful milestone.

Along with Sarup Chettri & Karan Mishra .I’m happy to share our book, AI for Young Sikkim: A Beginner’s Guide to Artificial Intelligence a humble attempt to make Artificial Intelligence easier, simpler, and more relatable for the young minds of Sikkim.

We were fortunate to have this pre-launch under the guidance and encouragement of Hon’ble Shri Pintso Namgyal, Minister for Science & Technology and Forest & Environment, Government of Sikkim. His support and encouragement have been a great motivation for us to take this initiative forward.

This book is not just about AI and chatbots. We wanted to introduce students to the much bigger world of AI, its possibilities in education, creativity, innovation, research, and the future.

And honestly, this is just the beginning. ❤️

We are working towards taking this initiative to students through workshops, practical learning sessions, and conversations around AI and emerging technologies.

The formal and refined book launch will be held shortly, and we are excited to share the complete journey with everyone.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and believed in this little idea of ours.

Here’s to learning, creating, and growing together. 🚀

The future is already here. Let’s help our young minds understand it, shape it, and lead it.

Cleanliness Drive at Sacred Tholung

Speaking on behalf of the Panchayat team of Dzongu, the President of the District Panchayat Cell, Shri Sonam Tshering Lepcha, spoke about the ongoing cleanliness drive at sacred Tholung.

He appealed to all devotees visiting Tholung to extend their cooperation in keeping the area clean and to collectively work towards making Tholung and Dzongu plastic-free areas. He urged everyone to take responsibility for the waste they carry and to bring back single-use plastic and other non-biodegradable waste.

Shri Sonam Tshering Lepcha also appreciated the vision of the Area MLA and acknowledged the guidance and support of the BDO, Dzongu, in promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and sustainable practices in the region.

Hey there, folks,

With the kind permission of the Respected Area MLA of 30-Dzongu, cm Minister Shri Pintso Namgyal Lepcha , and the esteemed Tholung Gumpa Committee, we had the privilege of documenting a few stories and narratives surrounding the sacred land of Tholung.

This humble project was undertaken with the kind support and encouragement of the Respected Chairman of the Sikkim Arts and Culture Heritage Board, Sanjay Dilpali Rai

We would also like to sincerely clarify that our intention through this documentation is not, in any way, to disrespect the sacredness, sanctity, or spiritual significance of Tholung. We approach this place and its stories with the utmost respect and humility.

Our sole purpose is to document, preserve, and share the history, traditions, stories, and cultural significance of Tholung, particularly for the younger generation. In a rapidly changing world, we believe it is important that our children and future generations understand and appreciate the sacred heritage that has been passed down to us.

This is our humble attempt to bring these stories closer to the younger generation while respecting the values, beliefs, and sanctity associated with Tholung.

With respect, gratitude, and reverence for Tholung. 🙏

“The summit was never just about reaching the top. 🏔️
It was about every moment we wondered if we would make it.
The fear. The struggle. The tears.
And finally… the flag at the top. 🇮🇳❤️
A dream fulfilled on the roof of the world.
— Gnersongmit Lepcha | Mt. Everest”

In her conversation, Miss Gnersongmit spoke openly about the menstrual taboo and the importance of breaking the silence surrounding menstruation. For generations, periods have often been treated as something shameful or something that should not be discussed openly. She highlighted the need to create awareness, encourage open conversations, and ensure that girls and women are treated with dignity and understanding.

Her message is simple but powerful: menstruation is natural, not something to be ashamed of. By talking about it openly, we can challenge outdated beliefs and help create a more informed and respectful society.

Tendong Lho Rum Faat stands as a powerful reminder of the rich cultural heritage and ancestral legacy of the Lepcha community. It is a time to remember our origins, honour our traditions, celebrate our collective identity, and express gratitude for the sacred relationship our people have shared with nature for generations.

The story of Tendong is not only a story from the past—it continues to inspire us in the present and carries a message for the future: to remain connected to our roots, respect nature, preserve our cultural heritage, and pass our traditions on to the generations yet to come.
