Sikkim’s certified marathon runner Shantiram Nepal, has reached Telangana after covering over 3,500 km from Sikkim and Northeastern states. Running with a purpose, he carries the message of Sikkim’s 50th Statehood throughout the nation with the theme Sunaulo, Samriddha, and Samarth Sikkim. A vision of a golden, prosperous, and self-reliant state.

Despite battling multiple health challenges along the way, Nepal remains steadfast in his mission, continuing his journey to the southern states now. His determination and resilience serve as an inspiration, symbolizing the spirit of endurance and dedication toward a greater cause.

A powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.1 struck the Nepal-China border region on Tuesday morning, causing widespread devastation and leaving at least 53 people dead and 62 others injured. The tremor, originating in Tibet, triggered shockwaves throughout the region, with significant tremors felt in northern India, including Delhi-NCR, Bihar, and Sikkim.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in Tibet, about 380 kilometers from Lhasa, at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers. The region's remote, high-altitude terrain has complicated ongoing rescue and relief operations.

In Nepal's capital Kathmandu, residents fled their homes in panic as the earthquake jolted the city. The India Meteorological Department confirmed seismic activity in Bihar, including Patna, the state’s capital.

Two aftershocks followed the main earthquake, with magnitudes of 4.7 at 7:02 am IST and 4.9 at 7:07 am IST. Rescue teams are working in the difficult-to-reach areas, where access is hindered by the challenging geography.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay Attends Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav Inauguration

Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay attended the inaugural ceremony of the Ashtalakshmi Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on December 6th, 2024. The landmark event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji in the presence of Hon’ble Union Minister for DoNER Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia Ji, Hon’ble Union MoS for DoNER Shri Sukanta Majumdar Ji, and esteemed Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of the Northeast states. "Allu Arjun Expresses Condolences for 'Pushpa 2' Stampede Victim, Donates ₹25 Lakh and Pledges Support"



Actor Allu Arjun has expressed his sorrow over a tragic stampede during the premiere of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" on December 4 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad. The incident claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman, Revathi, and left her nine-year-old son, Sri Tej, critically injured.

In a heartfelt video posted on social media, Allu Arjun extended his condolences to Revathi’s family and assured them of his support. He announced a donation of ₹25 lakh to the family as a goodwill gesture and pledged to cover medical expenses for the injured child. The actor also emphasized the importance of safety at events, urging fans to prioritize their well-being while attending screenings.

The tragedy occurred during special screenings of "Pushpa 2", when overcrowding caused a stampede-like situation. Revathi and her sons were caught in the chaos; while Revathi was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, her son remains under treatment.

Allu Arjun has vowed to personally meet the family and support them through this difficult time. He also reminded fans to exercise caution to ensure everyone’s safety while enjoying films. "Pushpa 2: The Rule" was released globally on December 5.
