🪷 Happy Guru Rinpoche Day 🪷

On this sacred anniversary of the birth of Guru Rinpoche, Padmasambhava, we pay homage to the Lotus-Born Master who tamed negative forces, transformed obstacles into wisdom, and illuminated the path to liberation for countless beings.

Born miraculously from a lotus in the land of Oddiyana, Guru Rinpoche manifested in this world to benefit sentient beings and establish the Dharma during times of darkness and uncertainty. Through his boundless compassion, profound wisdom, and fearless activity, he subdued obstacles and revealed the path to enlightenment.

Today, as we honor his birth, may his blessings protect all beings, bring peace to troubled hearts, harmony among nations, and healing to our precious Earth. May we cultivate wisdom, compassion, courage, and unwavering faith for the benefit of all sentient beings.

The Seven-Line Prayer to Guru Rinpoche

༄༅། །གུ་རུ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་ཚིག་བདུན་གསོལ་འདེབས་བཞུགས་སོ། །
The Seven Line Prayer

ཧཱུྂ༔ ཨོ་རྒྱན་ཡུལ་གྱི་ནུབ་བྱང་མཚམས༔
hung orgyen yul gyi nubjang tsam
Hūṃ! In the north-west of the land of Oḍḍiyāṇa,
པདྨ་གེ་སར་སྡོང་པོ་ལ༔
pema gesar dongpo la
In the heart of a lotus flower,
ཡ་མཚན་མཆོག་གི་དངོས་གྲུབ་བརྙེས༔
yatsen chok gi ngödrub nyé
Endowed with the most marvellous attainments,
པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་ཞེས་སུ་གྲགས༔
pema jungné shyé su drak
You are renowned as the ‘Lotus-born’,
འཁོར་དུ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་མང་པོས་བསྐོར༔
khor du khandro mangpö kor
Surrounded by many hosts of ḍākinīs.

Following in your footsteps,

In the rush of modern life, we often forget the essence of living —
to walk gently, to speak kindly, to think purely, and to act wisely.

Buddha’s Five Precepts are not commandments to obey out of fear…
They are reminders of balance, whispering gently to our restless souls.

To refrain from harming any living being is to understand that all life breathes the same air,
feels the same pain, and deserves the same compassion. 🕊️

To speak only words that heal is to realize the power of our tongue —
for words can either create harmony or destroy peace. 💬

To honor purity and respect in relationships is to love without attachment, to give without expecting, and to connect without control. ❤️

To keep the mind clear and avoid intoxicants is to preserve our consciousness — our most sacred temple, where truth and awareness dwell. 🌿

And to take only what is rightfully ours is to let go of greed, for real abundance lies not in possessions, but in gratitude. 🙏

Each precept brings us closer — not to perfection, but to presence.
Closer to a life where peace flows naturally,
where silence becomes wisdom, and where kindness becomes our truest form of strength. 🌸

Live not to escape the world, but to awaken within it.
