Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 1, Hadith 1 (The Book of Revelation):

Narrated 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه):
I heard Allah's Messenger (ï·º) saying,

"Actions are judged by intentions, and everyone will be rewarded according to what he intended. So whoever migrated for Allah and His Messenger, his migration was for Allah and His Messenger; and whoever migrated for worldly benefits or to marry a woman, his migration was for what he migrated for."

(Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 1)
