Gauhati University Mising Students' Union - gumsu

Gauhati University Mising Students' Union - gumsu Gauhati University Mising Students' Union(GUMSU) is a student organization of Gauhati University established in 2006-07 but regularly run from 2009-10.

The first official President of GUMSU was Mg. Bhupen Kr. Taid and General Secretary was Mg. Sidananda Pegu. GUMSU is a form of 5 Mising student subgroup of Gauhati University. GUMSU is Integration with Mising students of P.Hd schoolers, P.G, B.Tech,Law and IDOL. The Aim & Objective of the union shall be upliftment of the mising student in respect of culture, Language, Literature, Political, Social

& Justice and help others. GUMSU has its' own Constitution. CO-Ordination Committee for Constitution of GUMSU. Advisor: Jyotiprasad Pegu. President: Bhupen Kumar Taid. Working President: Liladhar Taye. General Secretary: Pranjal Pegu. Executive: Dipti Taid

The GUMSU constitution is formed at the year of 2014 with the monitoring of GUMSU President Mg. Pranjal Pegu(2014-15) and Gen. Secretary Mm. Dipti Taid(2014-15). The Jurisdiction of the union shall be limited within Gauhati University or Integration of Gauhati University and other Institute/college. The Union has its own EMBLEM.The emblem of the union shall be
i) The emblem shall be round. ii) In round “GAUHATI UNIVERSITY MISING STUDENTS’ UNION” and “TAKAM MISING PORIN OPE’: I’RROI” shall be written. iii) Under round the mising “Tongali” (soal) signify that we belong to mising community. iv) Under round the Book Signify that we are educating people. v) Under round the Sun Signify that we are upgrading our community by our knowledge. GUMSU has a yearly published mouthpiece cm magazine called as ‘Be’dang’. Initially GUMSU is able to publish it's first edition in the years so per(2011-12) and it's second edition (2014-15) after that its been published yearly since then.

On 31st August 2024,in the presence of the executive members of GUMSU, research scholars, mising students of Gauhati University and tmpk GCC members the 16th general conference of Gauhati University Mising Students' Union has been took place, which was presided over by Mg Chinmay Pegu & carried on smoothly by secretary Mg Likhan Kuli.
The meeting began with an introductory session of the newly admitted students of Gauhati University under different departments. Mg Pradip Doley(R/S,Assamese),Pankaj Mili (R/S, Physics),Mg.Tiken taku (Former President,GUMSU) & Mg Cedric Lagachu(President,tmpk GCC) gave their valuable words towards the new members of GUMSU.
Also the GUMSU committee 2023-24 has been dissolved & a new committee for session 2024-25 has been formed.Mg Rohit Doley & Mg Riyonjit Pegu has been selected as president and secretary respectively.

We congratulate the whole newly selected committee.🙏🏾 🙏🏾

যোৱা ১৬/০৯/২৩, শনিবাৰে গুৱাহাটী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় মিচিং ছাত্ৰ সন্থাৰ উদ্যোগত উলহ-মালহেৰে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় "কাংকিন কেবাঙ ২০২৩(Freshmen Social '23)" । GUMSU ৰ সভাপতি চিন্ময় পেগুৰ সভাপতিত্বত অনুষ্ঠিত কেবাং খনত উপস্থিত থাকে ড° অভিজিত পায়েং,ড° জ্যোতিষ্মান টায়ে,ড° চন্দ্ৰকান্ত পাৱে ছাৰকে ধৰি গুৱাহাটী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ত অধ্যয়নৰত ন-পুৰণি ছাত্ৰ ছাত্ৰী আৰু মিচিং গৱেষক ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰী সকল। তদুপৰি TMPK কেন্দ্ৰীয় সমিতিৰ কাৰ্যবাহী সদস্য বাবা পেগু,গুৱাহাটী মহানগৰ সমিতি TMPKৰ সভাপতি ছেদ্ৰিক লাগাচুকে ধৰি অন্যান্য TMPK,MMK ৰ বিষয়ববীয়া সকল উপস্থিত থাকে।

On Saturday (19-08-23), GUMSU organized 15th General Conference with the presence of Dr. Abhijit Payeng Sir, Research Scholars, Seniors, Cedric Lagachu (President, GCC TMPK) and some members of GCC TMPK. The main agenda of the conference was the dissolution of old GUMSU body and formation of new GUMSU body for the session of 2023-24. The conference was ended wonderfully with the cooperation of all members.

Congratulations to all the newly selected members. I believe that you all do your work wonderfully with the cooperation of with each other.
