Assam is accelerating infrastructure development across cities, towns and villages to overcome decades of connectivity gaps and ensure the benefits of development reach more people.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said better connectivity will form the foundation of Assam’s next phase of growth, with smoother and uninterrupted movement becoming the norm.
As part of this effort, a new Railway Overbridge was dedicated at Cinnamara in Jorhat, aimed at easing congestion at a key traffic bottleneck in the historic town.
The project is also part of Assam’s wider initiative to make railway crossings traffic free and improve movement across major urban and rural areas.
The focus, the Chief Minister said, is to reverse the state’s connectivity deficit and build an infrastructure network that enables faster, easier and more inclusive growth.
