To all our Bihari brothers and sisters living in Assam, we urge you to remain united, strong, and confident during these challenging times.
Do not allow fear, misinformation, or politically motivated narratives to weaken your spirit.
The Bihari community has faced difficult situations in the past and has always emerged stronger through resilience, hard work, and unity. Those who remember the events of 2003 know that the community has endured even tougher circumstances with courage and dignity.
Today, certain elements are attempting to malign the entire Bihari community by making false and baseless allegations. Such attempts appear to be driven by political interests and a desire to create divisions among people who have lived together for generations.
The reality is that the overwhelming majority of Biharis in Assam are honest, hardworking, law-abiding citizens who have contributed immensely to the state's economy, infrastructure, business, agriculture, and social development. They have worked shoulder to shoulder with Assamese people in building a stronger Assam.
Let us be clear: if any individual commits a crime, the law must take its course. But no community should be judged, targeted, or blamed for the actions of a few individuals.
Assam belongs to every law-abiding citizen who lives, works, and contributes to its progress. The Bihari community has earned its place in Assam through decades of dedication, sacrifice, and service. Assam is as much their home as it is for anyone else who respects its people, culture, and laws.
At this time, we appeal to all members of the Bihari community to stand together, support one another, maintain peace, and continue contributing positively to society. Do not be discouraged by hate-filled rhetoric. Truth, unity, and mutual respect are always stronger than division.
