The future of Indian agriculture won’t be built only on farms. It will be built through conversations between farmers, innovators, policymakers, and creators.

It was an honour to have a conversation with Hon’ble Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, at the NAAS Complex, New Delhi.

As someone who spends every day interacting with farmers, agripreneurs, startups, researchers, and rural youth, I’ve realized one thing: the biggest challenge in Indian agriculture isn’t the lack of innovation

it’s the gap between innovation and adoption.

Technology exists. Research exists. Government schemes exist.

The real question is: How do we ensure these solutions reach the last farmer?

During our discussion, I also raised concerns about the long-term impact of large-scale eucalyptus plantations on groundwater depletion, emphasizing the need for science-backed, sustainable land-use decisions.

Today’s farmer doesn’t just learn from demonstrations. They learn from videos, communities, conversations, and people they trust. That makes creators an important bridge between research, policy, and the farming community.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important dialogue. Meaningful conversations like these are the foundation of a stronger and more sustainable future for Indian agriculture.
