So incredibly proud of my friend Shreyas Hosur as he completes the iconic Manhattan 20 Bridges Swim in New York.
He became only the 12th Indian & the first civil servant to complete this colossal swimming challenge.
Covering a 48.5 kilometers (28.5 miles) around the island of Manhattan, he finished the grueling course in 9 hours and 12 minutes, battling unpredictable currents and unrelenting physical demands.
The Manhattan 20 Bridges Swim, organized by New York Open Water (NYOW), is one of the most prestigious marathon swims in the world. It takes participants around the entirety of Manhattan Island, passing under its 20 bridges, including the popular Brooklyn Bridge & the Manhattan Bridge.
The swim is particularly notorious for its challenging conditions where a swimmer has to wade through choppy waters, shifting tides, and powerful currents. As much as physical test, it's also a mental battle.
As always it’s so nice to see Divya Shreyas Hosur by his side supporting him through the swim. What an incredible couple you guys are!
Keep climbing higher and keep inspiring us all, Shreyas.
