: Hospitals should provide treatment without demanding advance payment

Under the KPME Act, District Magistrate B. Fauzia Tarannum yesterday directed private health institutions to provide priority treatment to patients coming for road accidents, burns, gunshot wounds, poisoning, criminal assault and medico-legal cases without asking for advance payment. Violation of the rule will attract a fine of up to Rs 1 lakh under Section 19(5) of the Karnataka Private Medical Institutions Act, 2007, he warned.

Kalaburagi: Hospitals should provide treatment without demanding advance payment

Under the KPME Act, District Magistrate B. Rs 106 crore collected from traffic fine concession: 37.86 lakh cases settled

% of the outstanding fine amount recorded in the e-challan for traffic violation cases.

The 50% discount has been well received by motorists. Under this facility, which was offered from August 23 to September 12, Rs 106 crore in fines have been collected in just 22 days. A total of 37,86,123 cases have been settled. Motorists have taken advantage of this discount through online and offline channels and paid the pending fines.
