For the last 16 years, Varnan has lived through countless stories.
Frame by frame, word by word, moment by moment, we’ve helped bring visions to life.

Over the years, we’ve created identities for brands finding their voice, and helped others rediscover themselves through rebranding.

And somewhere between telling everyone else’s stories, we found ourselves evolving too.

Now, in our sweet sixteen era, it felt like time for a little makeover ourselves.

What started as a passion for storytelling slowly became a language, a culture, and a way of seeing the world.

This is not a new Varnan.
Just a newer expression of who we’ve always been.

Same voice. Same heart.
A new identity.

Dropping soon.

A quiet little corner for people who reread favorite pages and carry stories with them long after they end. 📖✨

At unCurated by Varnan - Edition 1, the Book Corner & Read-Aloud Session by Bansa Community Library is all about slowing down and sharing words that matter.

Bring a page you love, listen to someone else’s favourite passage, discover new books, or simply sit with a cup of chai and soak it all in.

There’s something really comforting about sitting down with a paintbrush, a blank tote bag, and nowhere else to be. 🎨✨

Our Sip & Paint session is less about making “perfect art” and more about spending an evening creating something slowly, with your hands and your thoughts fully in the moment.

You’ll paint your own tote bag, sip on something warm, listen to good conversations around you, and leave with a piece that’s completely yours.

The kind of evening that feels light while you’re there and stays with you after.

Some things aren’t meant to be hidden when they break.
They’re meant to be held, mended, and seen a little differently.

Broken Yet Beautiful is a quiet, hands-on space where you take what’s been fractured and turn it into something meaningful, something you can carry back with you.

No pressure to be perfect here. Just time, intention, and a little gold to bring it all together. ✨

Come create, reflect, and leave with a piece that’s uniquely yours!

Some evenings feel better when they’re shared with poetry and people who get it.

Join us for Kavita Paath, a warm, open gathering where stories unfold gently, poems are read and felt, and conversations flow without pressure. It’s the kind of space where you can bring a piece you love, share something of your own, or simply sit back and listen.

There’s no right way to be here—just come as you are, and let the room do the rest.

Sometimes, stories starts with a few people, a few conversations, and a shared way of seeing the world.

We’ve been building a community in Gurgaon for those who feel something when they experience art, who see culture as connection, not consumption.

A space where stories don’t just exist on screen, but between people.

If this feels like your kind of space, we’d love to have you with us.

Yes, it’s happening!

We are excited to share that we’re building something new.

unCurated by Varnan is an extension of what we’ve always believed in, something we’ve been thinking about, shaping, and holding close for a while.

A step towards creating spaces where art can breathe, grow, and be experienced more openly.

This is our attempt to create something simple yet meaningful.
We’ll be sharing more with you, slowly and thoughtfully :)

From Vernita’s diary
Over the years, I’ve seen filmmaking change. But in the last two years, it has changed faster than ever.
I remember the days of bulky cameras and tapes.

Only a few production houses owned them. The rest of us rented, planned carefully, and made every shot count. Shooting days were tighter, mistakes were expensive, and there was a certain discipline to the process.

Then came DVs. Things became slightly more accessible. We could shoot more, experiment more, and slowly, the gap between idea and ex*****on started reducing.

When we started Varnan 16 years ago, we stored every tape. Especially documentary footage. We still have hundreds of them. We call it our gold. Back then, footage felt physical. You could hold it, archive it, revisit it.

Editing meant sitting in studios for hours. Rendering took time. Changes were not instant. Every decision carried weight.

Corporate films had a different place. They were made to last. A shelf life of 3–5 years was normal. And yes, we charged a bomb for it.

There was time, budget, and intent behind each film.
Today, everything is faster.
Everyone owns a camera.

Shoots are lighter, quicker, more fluid.
Content is created in volumes.

Editing happens on laptops, sometimes even phones.
Cloud has replaced cupboards full of tapes.
But with that, attention spans have reduced.

Shelf life has shortened.
“Content” has replaced “films” in many conversations.

There is more access now. More creators. More stories being told. Which is a beautiful shift.
But somewhere, the pace has also changed how deeply we sit with a story.
A lot has changed.

What hasn’t changed is this
a good story still needs time, honesty, and someone who cares enough to tell it well.
And when that happens, it still stays.
