In the drive against drugs, the following detections were made in Nagaon district today -
1. SI Adith Boro, O/C, Juria PS, recovered 4 soap cases containing 47.37 gm of He**in at Dagaon, Juria, seized two vehicles and apprehended three drug peddlers namely -
- Sorafot Ali, 32, S/O Hussain Ali, of Udmari Balugotia, PS Juria
- Badol Islam, 34, S/O Isham Uddin , of Udmari Balugotia, PS Juria
- Toybur Rahman, 25, S/O Hussain Ali of Mahguri, PS Juria.
2. Insp. Manoj Rajbongshi, O/C, Nagaon PS, SI Taranga Patowary, I/C, Haiborgaon TOP and SI (P) Pinku Phukan, apprehended one drug dealer namely Reena Begum (39), W/O Innas Ali, Vill Sarupathar, PS Daboka, Dist Hojai at Rangaloo (near petrol pump) and recovered 5 soap cases containing 64.36 gm He**in.
3. SI Achyut Phukan, TSI, Nagaon PS along with SI Abha Jyoti Rabha, O/C, Jajori PS, apprehended one drug dealer namely Musst. Jomuna Khatun, W/O Safiqul Islam, Vill Tamulitup, PS Rupahihat, and recovered 55 plastic vials containing 84 gm (with container) He**in and 200 nos of empty vials.
4. SI Lakheswar Gogoi, I/C, Rangaloo PP detained two drug addicts and sent both persons to Rehabilitation Center, Nagaon.
