One of the most loved filmmakers of the Assamese film industry, Munin Barua Sir has left us for the heavenly abode. His films redefined entertainment and rehabilitated a fledgling industry by the virtue of their feel good appeal, timeless music and multi-star power; qualities which ensured solid ticket sales at the box-office. He understood his audiences which is a rare quality even for many filmmakers of merit. His films will always remain etched in our memories and most importantly the songs which had lives of their own. RIP Bhaimon da and keep guiding us like a Pole star form the above.
