🔴 CM Lalduhoma Flags Off New Police Vehicle Fleet
👉 Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma on June 19 flagged off a fleet of 219 newly procured police vehicles under the Assistance to States and Union Territories for Modernisation of Police (ASUMP) Scheme 2025-26 at the 3rd Battalion MAP Parade Ground in Mualpui, Aizawl.
👉 The Ministry of Home Affairs approved the procurement at a cost of Rs 33.83 crore, including a Central share of Rs 30.45 crore and a state contribution of Rs 3.38 crore. Under the 2025-26 State Action Plan, Mizoram received Rs 43.87 crore for police modernisation initiatives. The new fleet includes electric scooters, motorcycles, light and heavy vehicles, prison vans, water tankers, bullet-resistant vehicles and towing trucks. Officials said the vehicles will be distributed among police stations, outposts, armed battalions, specialised units and training institutions to enhance operational efficiency and public service delivery across the state.
