The high-profile visit, spanning May 25 and May 26, 2026, aimed to evaluate operational efficacy, strategic border preparedness, and the overall administrative welfare of the troops deployed along the critical border areas.The official itinerary commenced on May 25, 2026, with the dignitary’s visit to the Supakha Company (CoY) of the 72nd Battalion. During this forward deployment review, Shri Hemochandra rigorously assessed the localized security apparatus, reinforcement protocols, and structural readiness. Following an exhaustive on-site evaluation, the Deputy Inspector General observed a night halt at the forward location to closely monitor night-vigil mechanisms and interact intimately with the personnel.On the morning of May 26, 2026, the inspection party arrived at the Battalion Headquarters in Yuksam. Shri Jai Prakash, Commandant of the 72nd Battalion, extended a warm and traditional welcome to the main guest by presenting a ceremonial bouquet. Marking the gravity of the occasion, a highly disciplined and immaculate contingent of the battalion presented a grand 'Guard of Honour' at the Armory complex, honoring the visiting dignitary with a full protocol salute.A closed-door review meeting was chaired by the Deputy Inspector General to evaluate border security dynamics, intelligence-sharing frameworks, tactical responsiveness, and operational readiness along the sensitive international borders.Emphasizing the force’s commitment to ecological preservation, Shri Hemochandra participated in a ceremonial tree plantation drive within the green belt of the battalion headquarters.The dignitary addressed a specially convened 'Sainik Sammelan', where he commended the troops for their unwavering dedication and resilience.
