Anuda Tamang Came First Place in 100 km.
She secured the first position in the BURJ 26 in Pune. Anuda Tamang is from Mirik and is a student of Amar S***a, a renowned "Marathon Man" of Sikkim.
The BURJ 26 was organized in collaboration with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) and the UTMB.

Sikkim's Runners make Sikkim Proud in BURJ 26 in Pune.
Sikkim Trail Runner Shanti Rai came first place in 100 km while Pemba Tshering Sherpa achieved third place in the 50 km. Both are the students of Amar S***a Marathon Man.
The BURJ 26 was organized in collaboration with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) and the UTMB.

"Gratitude Run"
Yesterday (December 28,2025), a symbolic run from Pelling to Chawri, Yambung, appreciating the visionary Yambung road project. This scenic high-altitude route is a game changer for Sikkim's Tourism & local economy.
The event was organized as a gesture of appreciation towards the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim Shri Prem Singh Tamang Golay for his vision and commitment to improving road connectivity for the New Tourist Destination in the area.
The run was led by Sikkim's Marathon Man, Amar S***a, accompanied by three of his students.
The initiative was carried out under the direction of Hon'ble Minister Shri Bhim Hang Limboo, marking a historic moment for the region.

Today,we the Naya Soch Naya Vichar Sewa Nai Dharma Ho Helping Team carried out a humanitarian service in Darap Village.
We met an 80-year-old grandmother, Phul Maya Limboo, who is suffering from severe illness due to septic wounds on her feet, which resulted in the amputate of both her legs.She is now permanently bedridden,She requires regular medical treatment, but she has no source of income and no means to support herself.Her condition is genuine, and she urgently needs help and care.
Hence, we sincerely appeal to kind-hearted individuals and organizations,anyone who is willing to support her in any way is requested to come forward and help.
As a small step, we the Naya Soch Naya Vichar Sewa Nai Dharma Ho Helping Team has contributed limited financial assistance along with essential commodities.
Every small support can make a big difference in her life.

Heartiest congratulations to the Marathon Man of Sikkim.

In recognition of his remarkable contribution to the field of sports, Mr Amar S***a was honoured on 14th December 2025 at Mela Ground, Kalimpong by Yakthung Shong Chumvo.
His dedication and achievements, especially in Marathon and Trail Running continue to motivate countless young athletes and runners across the region.
This honour was conferred on the auspicious occasion of the Centenary Celebration of Yakthung Shong Chumvo, established on 26th July 1926, marking 100 Years of legacy, Unity and service to the community.

Renowned endurance athlete Mr. Amar S***a, popularly known as the Marathon Man of Sikkim, departed for Hyderabad today to participate in the much - anticipated Stadium Run 2025. The event is scheduled to begin on 29 November 2025, Saturday at 6 PM, and will continue non-stop for 12 Hours, concluding on 30 November 2025, Sunday at 6 AM.
This year marks Mr S***a's fourth appearance in the 12 Hour Stadium Run. His journey in this challenging format began in 2014, where he secured 3rd place. He returned stronger in 2022 in Mumbai, earning 2nd place, and achieved his career-best in 2023, clinching the 1st Position in the 12 Hours Stadium Run. After a two-year break, Mr S***a is once again set to showcase his grit and endurance on the Stadium Track.
The run reflects not only his personal passion for Ultra Running but also his commitment to representing Sikkim on National Platforms.
This year's participation is being supported by Mr Bhim Hang Limboo Minister, Building & Housing Department / Labour Department, Government of Sikkim, Dentam Tourism Development Society & Jai Laxmi Enterprises Darap,West Sikkim.
The people of Sikkim and the running community extend their best wishes to the Marathon Man as he gears up to bring glory to the State once again.

Amar S***a the Marathon Man of Sikkim Achieves Strong Finish at Malaysia Ultra Trail by UTMB 2025.

Taiping, Malaysia - 27-Sep-2025-Amar S***a successfully completed the Malaysia Ultra Trail by UTMB 2025 in the 50 Km category, securing 11th place in his World age group with a finish time of 10:03:21 and secured 121 in Global Ranking out of 700 finishers. Among the three Indian participants in this segment, he achieved the highest ranking. The Malaysia Ultra Trail by UTMB is recognised as one of Asia's most challenging trail races, renowned for its brutal elevation profiles, high humidity,and extreme heat. These conditions proved demanding for all competitors and limited racing speeds. Despite this, S***a delivered a resilient performance and maintained a competitive standing in the field.
Speaking after the race, S***a noted:
"The course presented extreme physical and environmental challenges. While the climate prevented me from running at my usual pace and twice I have got dizziness and took the help from the Aid Station crew. Overall it was a valuable experience and an honour to compete alongside world -class elite athletes from around the world. The event was exceptionally well organized and provided a tremendous learning opportunity. I am honoured and feeling immense pride to represent Sikkim and India at the Global Stage.
The Malaysia Ultra Trail by UTMB attracts International participation from some of the sport's most accomplished trail runners. S***a's performance underscores both his individual determination and the growing presence of Indian athletes on the Global Ultra Trail Running Stage.

Amar S***a renowned Marathon Man of Sikkim was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr S***a thanked the entire team of SKM Sports Wings for honouring him with the Lifetime Achievement Award during the National Sports Day celebration at Paljour Stadium, Gangtok.
According to him, this will motivate the entire running community along with the youth for following a healthy lifestyle.
Lastly, Amar S***a congratulated The Honourable Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay sir for achieving the best performing CM among small States.

Amar S***a (Marathon Man of Sikkim) returned to Sikkim after a successful Completion of a 12 Hours Independence Day Run on the eve of Independence Day.
Representing Sikkim as a special invitee from the 12 Hours Mumbai Ultra Run Committee,
S***a was able to cover a distance of 76 km in 12 Hours at Shivaji Park, Mumbai.
This event is not a competition, but rather a charity cm awareness run, which was organised primarily to raise funds for the ImPaCCT foundation at Tata Memorial Centre, which provides treatment for childhood Cancer Patients.
