Inauguration of Government Secondary School Building in Gyalshing*
A significant milestone was achieved in the educational sector of Gyalshing with the inauguration of a 12-room school building cm multi-purpose hall at Government Secondary School Middle Gyalshing. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Hon'ble MLA Shri Loknath Sharma.

-The program was graced by Hon'ble MLA Shri Loknath Sharma, along with District Collector Gyalshing District Shri Tenzing D. A king Cobra snake has been spotted once again in the Mission Hill tea plantation under the Gorubathan section. Following information from locals, a team from the Forest Department rescued the snake safely and released it into the forest. It is said that such poisonous snakes have been found in the area before.

Minor Girl Allegedly Abused Over Two Years in Geyzing; Multiple Detained
A case involving the alleged prolonged sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl in Geyzing District has led to the arrest and detention of multiple individuals, including juveniles. The incidents reportedly occurred between 2024 and 2025.
Police acted on an FIR filed by a Child Welfare Committee member after school authorities alerted them to the girl's situation. During counseling, the minor named a woman from her locality who would regularly call her to assist with domestic work. The woman allegedly coerced her into repeated sexual acts involving her husband. It was also revealed that two other men were brought in and the girl was allegedly forced to engage in similar acts in exchange for money.
The victim further named four juveniles who were allegedly involved during the same period. Based on her statement, police have arrested the woman, three men, and have taken the four juveniles into custody.
A case has been registered under Sections 64, 98, 99, 351(2), and 3(5) of the BNS, 2023, along with Sections 3, 4, 5(1) (1), and 6 of the POCSO Act, 2012. The investigation is ongoing.
