A Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was successfully conducted at Tashiding Senior Secondary School in the gracious presence of Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Shri Birendra Gurung, AD Education Department BAC Chongrang Mrs. Purnima Sharma, Principal Shri T. P. Dahal, SMC members, teachers, parents, and guardians.
During the programme, Mr. Musut Hang Limboo (P. G. T, Chemistry) delivered an awareness talk on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and stressing the importance of creating a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free society for the younger generation.
Addressing the gathering, AD Education Department BAC Chongrang Mrs. Purnima Sharma highlighted the commendable academic performance of the block in CBSE examinations. She stated that the block’s performance stands at par with the state level and also reflected positively in comparison with district achievements, appreciating the dedication and hard work of schools, teachers, students, and parents.
Principal Shri T. P. Dahal shared the remarkable growth and progress of the school over the past few years and discussed various strategies planned for further enhancement of academic and co-curricular excellence. He encouraged parents to take advantage of hostel facilities available for students and motivated them to remain actively involved in their children’s studies. He also emphasized the importance of tackling absenteeism among students. Highlighting the school’s academic success, he proudly mentioned the 100% CBSE result in Class X and 96% result in Class XII. He further informed the gathering about the school’s initiative of conducting a “Zero Period” every Wednesday dedicated to developing students’ hobbies and talents. A new School Management Committee (SMC) was also formed during the programme.

SMC Member and Sikkim Art, Culture and Heritage Board Member Shri Thupden Rinzing Bhutia also addressed the gathering and shared important updates regarding the development and achievements of the school. He appreciated the dynamic leadership of the Principal, stating that it has significantly contributed towards the overall growth and positive transformation of the institution. He also assured continuous support from the SMC for the betterment of the school.
Hon’ble Zilla Panchayat Shri Birendra Gurung congratulated the school for its excellent CBSE results and appreciated the efforts of the school administration, teachers, students, and parents. He assured his continuous support and active involvement for the welfare and overall development of the school in the coming days.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the M. C. Mr. Jharen Adhikari (P. G. T, Maths), who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all dignitaries, parents, guardians, teachers, and participants for making the programme meaningful and successful.
