Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign in Sikkim Marks Grand Celebration; CM Prem Singh Tamang Leads Rally
Gangtok, August 12 | Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) proudly participated in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign today, held in the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur. The event featured a spirited rally from MG Marg to Manan Kendra, witnessing enthusiastic participation from ministers, MLAs, advisors, chairpersons, the Chief Secretary, DGP, Mayor, Deputy Mayor, councillors, department heads, senior officials, and members of the local community.
The campaign, a visionary initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, coincided with Sikkim’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, symbolising unity, patriotism, and national pride.
Addressing the gathering, CM Tamang said, “The Tiranga is not just a flag, it is a powerful symbol of our freedom, unity, and national pride. Each colour and the Ashoka Chakra embody the values we live by — courage, peace, prosperity, and justice.”
He further highlighted transformative initiatives such as Swachh Bharat, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Digital India, and Vocal for Local as driving forces for the nation’s progress, urging citizens to raise the Tiranga not only in their homes but also in their hearts.
The Chief Minister concluded with a resounding call: “Jai Hind! Jai Sikkim!”
