"ஆமதாபாத்தில் லண்டனுக்கு புறப்பட்ட ஏர் இந்தியா விமானம் விபத்துக்குள்ளானதில் விலைமதிப்பற்ற உயிர்களை இழந்தது மிகுந்த அதிர்ச்சியையும் வேதனையையும் அளிக்கிறது. உயிரிழந்தவர்களின் குடும்பங்களுக்கு ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். மீட்புப் பணிகள் தொடர்ந்து நடைபெற்று வரும் நிலையில், உயிர் பிழைத்தவர்களுக்காகவும், தங்கள் அன்புக்குரியவர்கள் பற்றிய தகவலுக்காகவும் காத்திருப்பவர்களுக்கு மன வலிமை கிடைக்கவும் நாங்கள் வேண்டிக்கொள்கிறேன்."
"The loss of precious lives in the crash of an Air India flight bound for London in Ahmedabad is deeply shocking and painful. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. As rescue operations continue, I pray for the strength of those who are waiting for survivors and for information about their loved ones."
